Nice place for an overnight getaway. Located on scenic river with waterfall. The hotel as an excellent restaurant and cozy bar with good views. Able to walk onto main street with shops and restaurants.

Although we didn't stay here, we were guests at an ELABORATE wedding reception. The main meal was, for the most part, of upper level banquet quality. But they did a STELLAR job on every other aspect of our visit. The multitude of hors d'oeuvres were incredibly tasty. The wait staff and bartenders did a bang-up job. HIGHLY recommended.

Went to the The Roundhouse back in November during the last Restaurant Week. Have been to Picholine and wanted to see what he had to offer in the Hudson Valley. Cute little town, great location, artsy place! We loved it! So if you are expecting Picholine, that it is not. However it is wonderfully delicious, creative cuisine in a beautiful...

All good things to say about The Roundhouse. The rooms are super cozy and very chic. The grounds/buildings are very well designed. They did a great job of converting the inside of the industrial complex but keeping the outside intact, preserving the character. Service was fine. Wasn't over the top great, but never had any issues. We thought it strange...

With style, warmth and professionalism. Beautiful space. Stellar caterer: delicious fresh, top-quality food very stylishly presented. Warm apple cider in mason jars when we arrived pre-ceremony. Backdrop of rushing water in the creek is lit up in the evening. The bride's grand entrance through the upstairs sliding barn doors and then down the stairs took your breath away. Like a...

Went for a One night weekend getaway in February. It was a beautiful and warm weekend and Beacon is a lovely town to walk around. The hotel is new and very modern and comfortable. High ceilings, magnificent view of the waterfall.

My husband I came for two nights for a last-minute getaway. It is the only game in town and definitely has a cool, industrial chic vibe, but there were some notable issues that detracted from the experience - *Our room was in the mill house (not the main building). Not ideal but that was what they had left. It was...

Rooms were industrial chic and airy! We loved the vibe. Rooms get a bit chilly so make sure to bring your cozy pjs & socks for sleeping. Breakfast at the restaurant overlooks the water which makes for a nice morning vista.

I stayed here recently for a girls weekend and it was pretty great. When I first pulled in, though, it was hard to figure out where to park in relation to the main building. Not very well sign-posted. I moved my car several times until we figured out where to check in and where the room was. It doesn't look...

Stayed here for just one night. Compared to some high end resorts elsewhere, this would be just above average but not luxurious. However, given the location in Beacon, this place was Nirvana! It was interesting to see how the rooms and facilities were designed, preserving the elements of the hotel's abandoned-factory roots. The highlight was the breakfast, set in a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Roundhouse is a unique, historical property at the foot of the Hudson Highlands mountain range and overlooking a beautiful, rushing waterfall in charming, artsy Beacon, NY. Spread over six acres, hotel rooms are in two distinct buildings: The Roundhouse itself and The Mill Building. Both structures are over 100 years old and previously housed an early textile mill and the first lawnmower factory in the US, among other factories and businesses. The stunning renovations feature everything from reclaimed brick and original wooden beams to the actual stone foundation creating entire walls. There are currently 23 rooms available at The Roundhouse: cozy street-view Doubles, deluxe King Size Suites with views of Beacon Falls, a corner room that sits right on the rushing Fishkill Creek and two beautifully appointed Penthouse suites that open out onto rooftop balconies. ... more   less
