There is a large open area adjacent to the Inn next to the ice rink. The elevation drop is only about 20 to 25 feet but it might be suitable for sledding. If you wanted a greater thrill (and your kids are older) hike up the Appalachian Trail immediately behind the Inn. You could hike up the trail a few hundred feet and have a great elevation drop. It would depend on what the snow/ice conditions were. Have fun.
