Nothing we have found at Chautauqua is particularly fancy. We were comfortable at Tally Ho-a great location and the perk of several free meals. We plan to stay there again this year. We would have preferred a room with a balcony to sit on as part of the fun is watching people strolling by.

My wife and I lived at the Tally Ho Inn for a week. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, air-conditioned and included daily dinner served in their restaurant. The real benefit of the Tally Ho is its location! It is situated in the "heart of the magic that is The Chautauqua Institution !" Stephanie, the manager took care of our every...

Tally Ho is an affordable dining option the Chautauqua Institution. They havean abundant buffet - not spectacular but convenient, reasonably good and a good variety of comfort foods and a salad bar. You can go back as often as you like.

We just spent a lovely week at the Tally-Ho while attending the stimulating Chautauqua Institution for a week.. We give thanks to the fine family staff, especially the hard-working problem solver, Stephanie who keeps the place humming, and the young, energetic and warm Lithuanian students who work hard to make your stay enjoyable. This is an older, curious building full...

Trip Advisor will not let me review the Tally Ho Restaurant (at the Tally Ho Hotel) - only the hotel. Trip Advisor does not recognize that the restaurant exists, and so will not let me enter it on the review form. It must be because it is so bad. There's really not much to say. The service was so-so, the...

We stayed for Chautauqua weeks One and Two and we had an apartment on the second floor at the family owned and operated Tally Ho Hotel and Restaurant. The accommodations were small but adequate, with newly refurbished kitchen appliances and a welcoming adjoining private balcony/porch. Most important to making our stay comfortable and enjoyable was the responsive, helpful, and courteous...

After enjoying the Buffalo Silver Band concert @ the Chautauqua Institute amphitheater we decided to dine on the Institute grounds for dinner. A less than 10 minute walk from the amphitheater through the beautiful Institute grounds following the “street” signs we located our destination “The Tally-Ho Hotel and Restaurant”. Located on 16 Morris Avenue, we walked up to this historical...

Last summer (2015) my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Tally Ho Hotel for two weeks in the middle of the season. The accomodations we had at the Tally Ho were terrific, comfortable, cozy and just what we needed. We especially enjoyed having a balcony facing toward the wooded area and away from the hustle and...

Be warned that owners of Tally Ho at the Chautauqua Institute seem to have no standards. Case in point - Tally Ho: dishwasher broke the second time I used it. AC was out for the two hottest days of the week. Check in was delayed by the fact that I couldn't locate anyone at the restaurant when I arrived at...

Went to week nine at Chautauqua and didn't know the "lay of the land." What a mistake! The beds were horrible, the bathroom tiny, bedroom was tiny, and the place felt like it was furnished at Goodwill. The couch was so gross we put a sheet on it to sit. The bedspreads on the beds were also disgusting and should...
