Studio room #314 was adequate, clean enough, but with VERY noisy refrigerator and the heat blower by the window did nothing to warm up the bathroom...room just too big for it. The reason for the poor rating, however, has nothing to do with the room. Firstly, there is no breakfast room open, just a bag with a gas station muffin, a "crunch" bar and boxed juice. This was never revealed when I made my reservation and the price certainly was never adjusted for this. Secondly, I was amazed when I first walked in! There was a man, NO MASK, dancing around and SINGING in a very loud voice right in front of the reception desk and where I wanted to go and there was a sign beneath her station stating masks must be worn at all times. When I quizzed her as to why that man was allowed and in the lobby she said" Oh, he's a regular and just forgot his mask". So, REGULARS DON"T EVER GET THE VIRUS??!! Incredible! Avoid this place if you want to be safe!…
My stay at the hotel was pleasant. The staff working here are very friendly and more than welcome to help with all requests made to them. The only thing that I believe would make this location better would be the addition of a laundry room onsite. Also, this location has lots of places to find a meal and entertainment.
Stayed here for the weekend for a swim meet. The room was a good size and beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful regarding places to eat and allowing us a late check out. Breakfast was a nice convenience. It was the typical breakfast at the Holiday Inn. The room could have been a little cleaner especially the bathroom but it was not terrible.
The staff was amazing really made our stay very enjoyable considering we had no choice but to be there do to a flood at our house. I am sooo thankful to everyone there for making our family feel at home thru excellent hospitality service and cleanliness. The pool and breakfast were icing on the cake. 5 stars all the way :)))
This Holiday Inn Express is very conveniently located a short ride from NY Route 17/US 6, and that road is about midway between two interstate highways, I-87 and I-84. This region of New York state is really beautiful, and the proximity of this hotel to a variety of attractions makes it an ideal place to stay. This review is based on a one-night stay in November 2019. I have an active interest in harness racing, so most of my visits to the area relate to that endeavor. Goshen, New York is just five minutes from this location. Goshen is the literal birthplace of organized harness racing in America, and the town boasts the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, along side Good Time Park, the oldest active harness race track in America. The area also includes a number of harness-equine training centers. A visit to the museum is a must. As for this Holiday Inn Express, I found a friendly environment, including an extremely clean, spacious room and all the standard amenities. They offer a variety of food on their daily breakfast (though I didn't participate on my stay due to an early departure requirement). The wi-fi is easy to use and fast. The bed was very comfortable and the location was peaceful for my short stay. There are a number of places to eat nearby, including the usual selection of fast food. If you're in the area, one place I do know and highly recommend is the Goshen Plaza Diner, just off NY17/US6 in Goshen. Yes, it's a diner, but the food is great, the portions are enormous and the service is excellent. Based on the pricing I've seen for this and other times, I can say that this location is a very good value for the traveler visiting this area and worth the stay. Strongly recommended.…
