This is by far the very best Bed and Breakfast I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The Inn is absolutely charming and the Innkeepers, Mary and Alan are such gracious, welcoming and helpful hosts that you almost feel like "family" while you're there. The Inn is absolutely pristine in cleanliness and the surrounding grounds ....just beautiful. Mary is an...

My BFF and I traveled a short distance to Cincinnatus today to enjoy a delightful afternoon tea at Alice's Dowry B&B. Mary has her own stamp on her tea's and there are some subtle differences that make this a place to go. The tea was great and so was the atmosphere and food. The price is also very reasonable. My...

What a treasure! An unfortunate circumstance brought us to Cincinnatus and we needed a place to stay. Alice's Dowry was much more than expected. Beautiful and charming place. Mary is such a beautiful warm person and her cooking is spectacular. This was serenity at it's finest. Thank you for treating us so well. We will now plan to spend time...

My wife and I stayed there for our anniversary weekend and accommodations were great. Property was beautiful. Wish we would have known that it goes so far back as we would have explored it some more. We did the Cortland County Geo Tour and got to see some beautiful places. (Make sure to visit Ithaca!) Mary was very thoughtful, kind,...

My husband and I were planning a trip to the Cortland Repertory Theater's production of The 1940's Radio Show, and lucked into finding Alice's Dowery. Although, it was much further than we expected to get to Preble, where the theater is actually located, it was worth every minute. Mary, the innkeeper was just lovely, and the B&B is so comfortable....

Warm reception by Mary, the innkeeper. Accommodations were very comfortable. A good romantic getaway in a quiet, secluded town. This is an outstanding value for the price. Breakfast included many local, fresh ingredients.

My husband and I stayed at Alice's Dowry for two nights. We were in the area looking for old family sites. We stayed in the South Room which was comfortable and roomy. Coming into the home was like stepping back in time. It was beautifully furnished with period furniture and photographs. It was clean and the Innkeeper, Mary, was a...

It was so easy to sleep there. We were on our way to York, PA and arrived late, around 9:30pm. We already announced being late and the door to the main room was left open for us. It was a Thursday night, there was no one else lodging so we had the pleasure of enjoying the common room and he...
