Nice people, friendly service, historic value and great for Stratford upon Avon if you have a car. Chintzy and traditional but cosy. The stairs up to your room are hard to manage after dinner and wine!!

Arriving mid afternoon for a late lunch we were made very welcome, the food from the main menu was excellent & good value. The waitresses who served us were very friendly & attentive. I was celebrating my forthcoming birthday & had received a voucher which was taken & dealt with most efficiently. We will definitely be calling again when in...

Stayed here for a single night as a precursor to a business trip into Birmingham. The room was a double, but would have been a little claustrophobic for two people. There were a couple of quirks. The overhead bathroom light was not working, and the staff suggested using the shaving mirror over the sink instead. One has to be tall...

Such a shame could be so lovely. Surroundings are super I know it was not expensive but a little thought and not bought in cakes would be nice . we were put in an empty restaurant and had to find someone to get extra tea... No one seemed the slightest bit interested once they took our voucher. Don't think a...

Our 4th visit and still great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend. We had Sunday roast with all the trimmings served with a smile and the bread and butter pudding was superb. .

Looking for somewhere for lunch on our way home from Devon, we came across The Blue Boar Inn, what a gem, certainly not the usual run of the mill pub, the food is excellent, I chose the Sea Bass, served on crushed potatoes, with mange tout and a delicious sauce, beautifully cooked and served, the portions are extremely generous, the...

The Blue Boar is an isolated old inn, a handy distance from Stratford upon Avon. The building has much "olde worlde" charm, but with some of the drawbacks you'd expect from an old building - rooms a bit small, en suite (ours anyway) tiny, not very well sound insulated (we could hear baths being run, late arrivals passing our room...

Fancied a weekend away and found The Blue Boar as a reasonably priced option. We had an amazing time, staff are incredibly friendly and couldn't do more to make our stay more comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights we stayed. Food was great, big portions and very tasty!! Make sure you book a table if you are...
