My husband and I and our little baby boy after enjoying the day with our parents who stay in the campground, we decided to stay at Lou’s house for 1 night. It was a pleasure to stay there . Her house was a great experience with a lot of collections. Our room was super quiet even with a thunderstorm. Bed very comfy and clean room . Lou’s a an awesome and lovely person with a big heart. We will definitely be back
Perfect getaway for couples interested in serenity with the smell of the mountains and sound of the falling water filling the air. This place provides refuge from daily stresses and helps you to completely relax.
The Lothian House B & B began with warm smiles and friendly faces. Our weekend trip was all that a mini vacation should be. Relaxing. Great continental breakfast. Peaceful. The owners are beyond accommodating and friendly and just all around great people. We cannot wait to go back next summer.
This was my second stay at The Lothian House Bed & Breakfast and I was so happy to return. Lou and Bill are two of the kindest people and exceptionally hospitable. I enjoyed our conversations and the tour and lunch with Lou. The house is a veritable museum of unusual collections that are fun to look at and appreciate. Mostly, I love the sound of the river as it moves over Skinners Falls - so peaceful. The setting is perfect for a quiet escape or for fun on the river.
What a wonderful, relaxing place on the river. Beautiful accommodations and good breakfast. Several good places to go for dinner. Go for a walk down to the river or just sit on the back porch and enjoy the sound of the rippling water and the laughter of the people tubing down the river. The hosts, Bill and his wife Lou, are very gracious and a joy to converse with. We try to come back every year.
