This place is nothing short of a dump! It looks beautiful from the outside, but one step inside and you will see.....the floor in our room was literally rotted and the whole room smelled like urine. Not to mention that the room had a door that didn't lock and connected to the room next door which was occupied! The furnishings... More

First thing first. This place is cheap. You know it because you've looked at the prices compared to fancier spots. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that the units are a little worn, cheaply built, and in need of an update. I don't really understand people complaining about this, though, considering two things: the very reasonable prices and the... More

We had our wedding here this past October. We wanted a place that was private, beautiful, and could accommodate a large group. All of our guests stayed at Twin Pines for at least one night, some stayed for two. I can't emphasize enough how friendly the staff was, and how easy to work with everyone was. Tom was a huge... My family has gone to Twin Pines every year for a week since 1982. The area the cabins are on as well as the surrounding lake are beautiful. It is a bit removed (about 20 minutes by car) from Lake George Village (the main town nearby), and te lake it sits on is also limited to boat engines with 50hp... More

Well first let me start off by saying that I'm not a camping type of girl, it's really not my thing. My family and I (18 people total) rented out two cabins for the weekend. The cabins were outdated and worn but had the basic necessities. Plenty of room for our large group. Our cabin had 3 bathrooms room (with... More

We stayed here for a couple of days last month. The place defiantly needs a facelift, I’d say it’s a step up from camping. We still had a warm bed and shower and a small kitchenette. Of course since we drove there from MA we took everything, Sheets pillow cases Towels etc., You don’t have to bring them since they... More

Great place to stay with a great price, Trout Lake is a gorgeous getaway. Super friendly management / ownership that were very helpful. Cabins are run down though and didn't have running hot water. Can't beat the price and location though. Highly recommend for the budget vacationer.

Ok let's start with the positive. The location is amazing, Trout Lake is a very peaceful spot we had a nice time canoeing and bike riding. The hotel provides many outdoor activities for free. Kayaks, canoes, swimming docks etc. the people who own/ run it are very nice and will make any accommodation to make your stay a good one.... More

We stayed at Twin Pines over the Columbus Day weekend in 2012. We used to stay at Lake George Escapes but switched after 5 years due to LGE raising the rates almost double. FIrst impressions is: Nice well maintained lawns (they mowed twice in the 3 days we were there) i guess they want the leaves up quickly....either way the... More

My family used to stay at Twin Pines when I was a kid so I have fond memories of the place. Trout Lake is a relatively small, but very pretty lake surrounded by mountains. Fishing and boating are good, but there is no marina, so you have to bring your own boat. Twin Pines is, unfortunately, typical of the dozens... More
