We stayed here overnight before a very early morning flight out of LaGuardia. We chose this hotel primarily for the airport shuttle & free parking. Upon checking in, I was informed by the front desk that if I parked in the garage, there would be a $10 a night charge for parking but if I parked in a surface spot in front of the hotel, parking was complimentary. There were a total of 21 spots that were not reserved for handicapped or electric vehicles. I left the car in the garage as there were no outdoor spots available. Upon returning from our trip, I went inside to get the parking ticket validated and had to show the front desk our hotel confirmation. There ended up being no charge for the parking. The shuttle was on time leaving for the airport but we had a 40 minute wait for the return shuttle. Each time we called the hotel, we were told 5 minutes. This was an issue for me because I was facing a 5 hour drive home making for a very long day. As for the room, the sheets were clean as was the bathroom. The carpet could definitely use a deep scrub as my white socks were gray after walking about. The room was quiet and bed comfortable. Based upon the shuttle, I would probably try the Marriott the next time I have an early flight since they had numerous shuttles arrive during the time period we were waiting for the shuttle from the Hampton Inn.…
We had an overnight stay for an early flight out of LGA and we had a perfectly fine stay. We had dropped our rental off at Avis/LGA and called the Hampton Inn where they promptly sent the shuttle to pick us up. The wait time was minimal - 5 minutes at most. When we entered the lobby, it was great to see just how busy they were-things are looking up in the travel industry - finally. (We travel a lot). We had a minor wait to receive our keys for our room, which we had chosen and checked in on line the day before. For some reason, maybe security, our digital key was not ready for us. Makes sense in the time of Covid. Within 10 minutes we were up in our room, after fixing a complimentary cup of tea and hot coco. Then room 1001, was perfect. Quiet. The only thing we did not realize it would not have is a mini fridge. No problem, Ice and ziploc bags worked fine to keep our bagels and cream cheese cool for breakfast on our early morning flight. Sleep: Being oh so close to LGA, you would think you would hear the planes as they are landing - we heard nothing and had a amazing nights rest. That doesn't happen often enough when traveling, especially since I am an extremely light sleeper. Breakfast: We did not partake of their grab n go breakfast - not even sure where it was located as we literally rolled out of bed, washed, dressed and hit the shuttle to the airport! Coffee was available to go. 6am shuttle was right on time. The front desk suggested we arrive 5 minutes early, which we did as the shuttle will leave promptly at 6am and every 20 minutes thereafter. We were dropped at our terminal within 5 minutes. Overall an excellent experience and would highly recommend it. I only wish I knew the front desk person who checked us in, he was wonderful and made my day when we thanked me for being "diamond" with Hilton. That recognition with a smile was most appreciated. 100% would stay here again.…
We traveled to see family in Queens and stayed 3 nights. The room was clean and relatively spacious for NYC. The bed was comfortable. It is very close to La Guardia, you can see the control tower and concourse from the Hotel but we did not hear any noise from the airport during our stay. There aren't any restaurants, drug stores or shops close to the hotel. On the negative side: the person checking us in was rude. I had changed our reservation to arrive a day earlier than our original reservation and the person checking us in became contentious when I showed him the confirmation. He did eventually find it. The hotel offers free self parking but no one told us we had to get our ticket validated to exit from the parking lot. I had to go back into the lobby to talk to a staff person. 2 other cars leaving at the same time had the same problem. We asked for our room to be cleaned every day of our stay. It wasn't cleaned after the first night and we had to request it be cleaned again. It was cleaned the second day. And the shower lost hot water intermittently. We had limited interactions with the staff, but except for the check in, they were ok. To end on a positive note, the hotel appeared to be well maintained and clean.…
The hotel is in a great location to the LaGuardia Airport and the shuttle services was very nice. Rooms were nice but basic, I had issues with the TV in the room. Upon Check-In the staff that checked me in was not very attentive or friendly.
Everything went well. Very comfortable and clean room. The shuttle service too and from the airport was great and the drivers were especially nice and helpful. Will definitely consider staying here again!
