The facilities are antiquated, living room looks like something out of a horror movie, dirty, NO LOCKS ON THE DOOR ?? The owner was a nice guy until, I said I could not stay there. Grounds need to be manicured

My partner and I were looking for an overnight stay in East Hampton Every hotel was completely booked or very overpriced. We decided to leave town but when we drove out we noticed a sign with 'vacancy' along the road. We pulled up along the house and were welcomed be the owner. We decided to stay for the night in...

Last weekend I sailed with my three kids and one of their friends between Gardiners Island and Shelter Island. Everything was perfect: the temperature, the wind, the sunset. We suddenly had a major problem with the sailboat and things went from fantastic to horrible in a few seconds. Thanks God nobody got hurt, but I was stranded on the water...

Our family stayed at this Inn one weekend this summer and one weekend last summer. It is not fancy but it is clean. There is abundant parking and Michael, the owner, provides a beach pass. You can bring your pets. There is air conditioning and it is conveniently located. It is not inexpensive but much more affordable than most, if...

Before staying at the Bassett House, I read the reviews on this site. I was hesitant to stay there, but ended up booking a room anyway because it was July 4 weekend and I made my plans like a week in advance. The inn is definitely not new, by any means, but it is certainly quaint. I kind of liked...

Boyfriend and I booked this place since it allows small dogs, and the location is convenient. I had a bad feeling as soon as we pulled into the driveway, the house and the yard look shabby and unkempt. What a dump! You realize that as soon as you enter and see a dirty rug leading up the stairs. The room...

Don't make the mistake we made, the owner insisted to be paid before we went to the room. When we arrived at our room is smelled and had an overall feeling of not being clean. We ended up going to another hotel without getting any type of refund, it was that dirty. There are much better choices in the Hamptons.

Bassett House Inn is Closed From September to the end of May. This person is claiming to have stayed at the Inn before it was open for the season. *Please do note that this person has only given one review so it is a plausible spoof review.

The Bassett House Inn is a very quaint and charming B&B in the most beautiful community in the United States. Mr. Michael Bassett is very friendly and accommodating. If you're in East Hampton, NY, this is the place to stay. Very close to Main Beach. Joe Guadagno, Long Island, NY

We had a wonderful time at The Basset House during our summer visit. The Bed and Breakfast is charming and the host, Michael was wonderful. This Bed and Breakfast is in a great location also, close to Main Street and the East Hampton airport. I would stay there again!

I had a most enjoyable time staying at the Bassett House. Among the best locations in East Hampton -- Convenient to everything. The innkeeper is most agreeable. This is a fabulouse place if you have a dog. The facility has a very expensive, large back yard that has a number of chaise lounges and is as comfortable as it gets...
