This hotel is unlike any other. The photos do it no justice, but I completely understand because this place is out of this world. The gentleman at the front desk was beyond accommodating and helpful(he seemed like a true local). The location is 10/10, its a 3.5 minute walk to quaint village. The room was very large, and smells of fresh mountain air. Points for in room mini fridge, you can fit exactly 42 beers + two 4lokos and a small cheese tray. When you wake up, it feels similar to waking up at grandmas house minus the fresh cookies.

No wonder the salmon swim up stream to go to this place.

We booked this well located hotel but when we came back from dinner saw two bugs on the wall. We had not seen bugs like this before so took them down in a tissue to ask the manager at the desk. He said they were aphids, were harmless and was surprised we had not seen them before. We went back up to the room, and another bug landed on my husband's arm, and another on the wall. We did not sleep well and went to talk to the general manager in the morning. She said they were stink bugs and asked 'don't you have bugs in Canada?'. We told her we do not see large bugs like this in the middle of winter in hotel rooms in Canada. Both managers made us feel that it was our problem, not theirs, so we told them we would not stay for the second night. If you think it is normal, then by all means stay here, but we do not think so. See pictures.

My room in the lower Annex was adequate for a single guy, but shower/tub area could use a bit of TLC for appearance of tile gout and a dollar-coin sized tub chip that a lady would be likely be uncomfortable with. The breakfast could use a couple more items. Addition of cheese and cold cuts would be most welcome.

We stayed here for a family get away to go skiing.
The resort is very reminiscent of the 60s. Which isn’t a problem with us. But the motel, oops sorry ski lodge, looks like it hasn’t been renovated for decades. There are cracks on the floor in the washroom area. The side boards are caked in years of dirt. The carpet needs a good cleaning.
The rooms weren’t made up and we had been gone from 9am to 5pm and when we complaint, we were told by the front staff that he didn’t know where the room staff was and he may not be able to find them. We were told, what we perceived as sarcasm, that he would give us towels to compensate. This was due to us asking for towels the previous night because we didn’t have enough.
Breakfast was simple fare. Bread, juice, coffee, tea, and yogurt.
The first photo is of the enamel coming of the toilet seat. The second is a sample of the crack on the floor plus the layer of dust in the side board.

After more than a decade attending the Fall Festival at another inn down the road, physical restraints caused us to look for different accomodations. We were able to secure a room at the Edelweiss that is accessible enough for our needs.
I would not say they are ADA accessible; however, they are able to meet the needs of some with mobility issues if you let them know in advance. There is a long, Sturdy ramp with handrails to get you from the side street or one of the parking lots up to the first floor. They also have sturdy, woden ramps that can be put in front of the doors on the first floor in order to get into a first floor room. The first floor rooms are spacious enough to move around in a scooter or wheelchair. Room 106 has a large bathroom with handrails & a handheld shower head and a large tub, which could work for some. They also have a small bath seat that would help some who would need a seat in the tub. There is access to the fire pit and during the swimming season, access to the pool.
The included continental breakfast is served in the basement and there is no access to the basement for those who have mobility issues.
The staff are friendly & helpful. We look forward to staying again.

I’m compelled to try to start with something (anything!) good about this business, so I’ll say it has a great location. That being said, it’s unfortunate that management has done absolutely nothing to take advantage of it’s highly desirable location nor appeal to a vacationer in this beautiful town! What a shame. I had read some reviews and was skeptical going in, though there was literally nothing else in town available, so we tried it. What an absolute disgusting, smelly mess! Gross is the first word to come to mind when entering the room. The bathtub was literal filth, there was black mold all over the white curtains, the sewage smell was overwhelming, hair clumps on the floor next to the rusty tub, a fire detector that was hanging off the wall, a smashed headboard, and carpet/bedding straight out of 1981. We had plans in town, and minus sleeping in our car in 12 degree temps, there were no other options…slept here for 4 quick hours just to sustain life! We were out the door by 6am. If these pictures were scratch-and-sniff, you’d have the smell burned into your memory. I’m not sure how this place passes any sort of inspection, let alone a reviewers opinion of acceptable.

We had a room in the Annex building. After seeing how dated and worn everything was - and not sure how clean - we decided to drop the key in the key return box and drive 2 hours back home. I tried to book an associated hotel and when I called the reservation line, they talked me into the Edelweiss because the other properties were booked. I wish I had paid more attention to my misgivings.

The location is great, although after that there isnt one thing that would entice me to ever book here again!
We were in one of the separate rentals behind the main hotel.
Nothing is updated! I pulled back the bedspread that looked like it was 30 yrs old and found hair on the sheets and black flecks of something.
There were crushed crackers or cookies on the rug in the bedroom and behind the LR couch. Apparently, thats not part of their cleaning process.
Holes in the walls, i got locked in the bathroom, bc the handle kept spinning!!
Absolutely the worst! Thx god we had a friend in town and stayed at their place.

This location is awesome. Everything is a block or two away, short walk to bars and restaurants and things to do. The place looks nice on the outside. The room had some issues, mildew on the ceiling. The sink dripped all night long.... drip. drip. drip. That sink also had screws in it from the top edges. The room was also very outdated. They advertise free breakfast. They will only serve it from 8am to 10am. We got there a few minutes before 10, there was no food out. You could smell food but nothing was nothing there but a container on the counter with some rice krispies and milk in a cooler. I went to the desk, the person said that there was still time for breakfast. I said that there was nothing there. He said "Oh sorry." They have the best location. Don't expect anything beyond that. spring mattress was old and hard.

Great location, clean rooms and a pool. Our room was pretty small but newly renovated bathroom with a walk in shower. Different room options, hotel rooms and cabins. There is also a firepit outside which is nice to sit around and meet people. Could use a little sprucing up on the outside.
