We stayed at the Essex Inn for an anniversary celebration and it was wonderful! Could not recommend it more. Essex is a quiet, historic town right on the lake. The restaurant at the inn is terrific and the rooms were beautiful!

For the sum of $326, including tax, I reserved what was described as an elegant second floor suite in a. 200 year-old inn that advertised it had a complete renovation in 2010, including 11 brand new sleeping rooms with modern amenities plus an included breakfast for two. The room looked pretty shabby to us, had one window air conditioner for...

The Inn is a lovely place to stay and has been lovingly renovated - but the piece de resisitence is the amazing food prepared by Chef Keith. Breakfast is a continental spread of homemade pastries as well as fruit and yogurt, but dinner is where Keith truly shines. Every appetizer was amazing, and the toad in the hole or lobster...

We had a perfect dinner at Essex inn last week. The food was amazing, great service, presentation perfect! For us boat owners, having such a gem on the lake makes our weekend great. Thanks Keith and Lanai for such a wonderful experience! We already talked of you at Willsboro bay marina!!! See you soon

Ate here today after taking ferry across Lake Champlain as a foot passenger. As it is out of season streets empty and everywhere else was closed but we wanted to eat before taking return ferry. So glad we did. Food excellent, staff very helpful and friendly, wine list extensive. Dining room simple and charming. Prices a little on the high...

Just back from our first dinner at Essex Inn on the Adirondack Coast. Well, I am not sure where to begin except by saying ...Five Stars without even a thought. What a delightful evening. Our meal was beyond compare. Service was exceptional. Will spread the word about this North Country Jewel. I think this place is just waiting to explode....

The new management were the most accomodating and helpful about sending us to great places in the area. The food at the Inn restaurant is terrific (Big City imagination and quality) When we came down to breakfast it was made especially for us (no steam tables here) and arranged for special needs (gluten free). The room was comfortable and had...

Stayed at the inn for one night with my wife and daughter, while on a research trip looking for a boutique hotel for a large event I am planning. Their website, reviews and the room price ($350+) set a very high expectation in my mind that was just not delivered on. The rooms we saw have a very sparse/modern aesthetic...

We stayed here on a bike trip. The Inn was lovely, and the restaurant facilities were very good. Unlike many B&Bs or Inns, though, there are not really any common areas to relax and chat, other than the bar area. Our room was very nice and spacious, but the big problem was that our bed arrangement was quite strange. We...
