I had a wonderful stay. I wish my trip wasn’t so quick to enjoy the room longer. What a pleasure. Sleeping was great. Bathrooms comfortable to move about with amenities. I will return next time I’m headed to Poughkeepsie.
Robyn is what front desk is suppose to be like Been a long time since I felt warmth from the front desk agents Excellent location and definitely very well run Starting when you walk in front door Friendly and a Hilton Superstar Robyn Perfect 10
The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was very efficient and good to deal with. Now...the food...Not...We decided to eat in since we had been traveling all day and the menu was okay for a quick bite to eat. We should have known not to order since no one was there . Ordered a steak sandwich and a flatbread pizza. both were about $29! It took almost 45 minutes for a flatbread that came out of a box. It was terrible and I had two bites and forget it. The steak sandwich wasn't any better and my husband who will eat anything had half of it and said enough. I was going to bring it both back but was to tired to deal with it so just finished our bottle of wine and chocked it up to bad luck. I would recommend this hotel to sleep at but not to eat.
food is frozen from 2020, broken pantry but they charge $100 a night, massive sewer problem septic smell, no housekeeping PPE, Positive Covid Guests revealed by anonymous staffer initial S., Sanitizer machines broken everywhere, Old hotel try the Hampton Inn anywhere but here!
We stayed at the HGIP for one night as part of a road trip. The hotel is centrally located and near a lot of restaurants and a WalMart. Check in was easy and friendly and there were plenty of luggage carts to get bags to the rooms. Room was comfortable, but a little on the smaller side (as was the bathroom). Bed was comfortable. While we were at the hotel, the fire alarm went off at 2am and the hotel was evacuated and the Fire Dept came by. There was no fire, but it will allow me to comment that the fire alarm is loud, exits/stairwells are well marked.
