Decided to go to Saratoga for the weekend with two best friends. There is no place like Wyndbourne B&B. Our friends had never been and are not B&B people. That has changed! The B&B itself is beyond CLEAN, COMFORTABLE and food DELICIOUS.(Get the cap letters)? The owners could not have been more cordial but yet you feel like we were...

Ralph and I had the best time hosting you and your dear friends! It makes life so much easier for innkeepers when parties staying at the same time are friends or family. There is established rapport and everyone can be himself. Thanks ever so much for introducing friends to Wyndbourne. We're hoping you will all come back again soon.

A wonderful 18th century home, lovingly restored. Clean, quiet, superbly maintained. The innkeepers are a treasure and made me feel more than welcome. They will definitely be seeing me again....as soon as possible!

Rooms in Saratoga Springs were sold out so I settled on this remote farmhouse. My great luck! It is well preserved from the 1790s, filled with period antiques, and two large rooms full of history and art books. I love history. Is there a TV or wifi? I didn't notice any or care because of the wealth of books. Only...

Thank you so much for your kind words. Ralph and I are always pleased to be able share what we have learned about this old house and others like it in the area. You were the second guest in as many months with a particular interest in your family history. Great to have you with us. There is Wi-fi and...

Exquisite, serene historic farmhouse and grounds impeccably maintained. Yummy breakfast. Wish I had more time to explore. Another time, hopefully With some of my kinfolk. Greatfulness to hosts! Upon arrival, I discovered a book about the history of Galway. I took it to my lovely room to peruse, opened the index. There beyond my imagining was my mother's fathers relations....

It was our pleasure! Not often does one see a recommendation that concludes information about a visit being "life-altering." Thank you! I'm so glad we had the appropriate research material at your fingertips. Come again soon.

You cannot lose with Ralph and Nancy! Charming, hospitable, accommodating to every whim and the place has impeccable period style and a drop dead book collection that rambles throughout the living room and upstairs to a gorgeous communal study. If youre lucky enough to stay here just unplug and do yourself a favor (though they do have a fast internet...

Collette, it was a total pleasure to host the two of you and we hope it will be the Mohawk River that lures you to this part of the country - and Wyndbourne's doorstep - in the future.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. Nancy and Ralph are very accommodating. It is away from the hustle and bustle of large areas so you can expect a quiet room. It is still close though to all the areas you may want to see. If you like morning coffee you have found the...

Nancy and Ralph run a well managed and impeccable B&B. The setting is serene and bucolic. The house is beautifully decorated. Nancy is a fabulous cook and they serve a very nutritious and healthy breakfast with fruit and vegetables from their own garden. At night the stars are very bright outside and you can catch a glimpse of a meteorite....

Nancy and Ralph make you feel right at home the moment you arrive. They have worked hard to create a warm environment and it shows. From your sheets turned down at night to the aroma of fresh brewed coffee in the morning, their attention to detail is second to none. They made a business trip feel like a vacation weekend

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wyndbourne is a restored 1790-era farmhouse, the home of its innkeepers. Rurally located the B&B is a 20-minute drive from Saratoga Springs and Schenectady, an easy drive north to Lake George and the Adirondack Park. There is a focus for breakfasts on fresh, sustainable, local foods. Attention is paid to particular dietary considerations. If you are looking for a quiet weekend in a period/historic environment, Wyndbourne offers a few acres for wandering, an orchard and gardens for exploring, and a view of the Massachusetts Berkshires from the property. There is a queen room with en suite bath and two rooms, a double and a twin, that share a bath. The double is offered as a suite with adjoining library and bath. An exuberant, friendly, young Australian shepherd rounds out the family and acts as a greeter when guests arrive. She is kept out of guestrooms and upstairs areas. ... more   less
