We checked into the Big Tree Inn after a beautiful "leaf peeping" visit to Letchworth State Park. The room was gorgeous, spacious and just the right combination of antique with a lovely modern bathroom. We booked this visit after having dinner at the Inn two weekends before. The food and service was impeccable. Unfortunately, within an hour of getting there,...

History abounds in this historic Main Street location in adorable Geneseo NY. Sit inside or outside and enjoy a wide variety of good food from the dining or pub menu. The inn also has great accommodations for overnight guests!

We stayed for a few nights at this inn and as the problems mounted, we spoke to the manager. She wanted to switch our room but one was not available. She had excuses and apologies, but that was it. They forgot to come clean our room, shower hardware was broken, gave us one bar of tiny soap to use between...

Unfortunately, we opted out of Letchworth camping due to a pond of a campsite and a never ending storm. We ended up staying in Geneseo and randomly happened upon the Big Tree Inn for dinner. We were dressed for camping and decided against eating in the formal dining room, and had a lovely time out on the terrace. I am...

My husband and I have stayed at the Big Tree Inn many times. The service and rooms are great, as well as the package prices being appropriate for what you get. Lots to do around the area, we particularly love the little shops on Main St. The dining room is gorgeous and the Tavern is intimate and nicely themed. The...

We stayed with fellow Geneseo graduates for one night in this lovely inn at Thanksgiving. We have always admired it from the outside but you need to stay here to full appreciate all it has to offer. The outside is a preserved mansion house that has been added onto to provide a banquet hall and extra accommodations. The whole place...

First of all, I will say that the staff at the Big Tree Inn were very friendly and accommodating upon registration. We were a little early for dinner (4 p.m.), but didn't have lunch prior to our arrival, so we were hungry. We stayed on a Sunday, so the Main Street of Geneseo was very quiet. We walked the street...

The Big Tree Inn used to be good but in the last 2 years the menu has changed and I believe the management has changed and not for the better. The appetizer menu no longer has shrimp cocktail on it and the selections are limited. I order Filet Mignon last night and it was cooked perfectly and then ruined by...

We were in town for the college reunion, and needed a place to stay the night. The room was one of the King suites on the second floor. we received at the Big Tree was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfy. We didn't use the jacuzzi tub or fireplace because we were only there one night, but the...

“The rooms are separated in an interesting way, so there aren't many rooms near each other. The Concord Coach is a small room - with a full-sized bed. The Seneca has two twins, but they can be pushed together into a King. All other rooms had either Q or K beds. If you don't care about a jacuzzi - stay in the MacVittie. The Mark Twain is probably the largest, and is at the top of the stairs - sort of on its own.”
