The lodge is in a beautiful setting, with all the rooms on stilts, looking out over the water hole. It becomes obsessive glancing down to see which animals are visiting. The hide is incredible, sitting within a couple of meters from the salt lick. We watched the elephants, we were completely invisible to them, so close. It was mesmerising. these... More

We brought a group of eight to Ivory Lodge and had a fantastic time. We spent one full day and another morning driving in Hwange and we had good sightings of lions on a buffalo carcass, a cheetah resting, giraffes drinking, and painted dogs romping along the roadside. The wildlife viewing on the private concession was a bit less exciting... More

Hello Rick, Thank you so much for these great comments and we are so glad you had such a wonderful time. The ebb and flow of animals from the Park and into our Concession is constantly changing and unpredictable. At times, we have had guests who have not left the lodge purely because of the mass of animals out our... More

Ivory Lodge...this is just so different, and so peaceful. We slept in Pole houses which were beside tall trees and the view to the waterhole was perfect. Many animals came in the evening to drink. We did Game drives with Sundowners, saw large herds of Elephants and other animals, including a Sable. At the Lodge Waterhole there is a very comfortable "hide' ,to... More

What an excellent experience it was in a relaxed environment in the company of hundreds of buffalos and Elephants. Amazing I had never seen such a big head of buffalos before until my last visit to Ivory Lodge.

“Overall, all chalets are really well positioned (views, spacious, peaceful, tastefully decorated -safari style, well serviced) . We loved our tree house in particular that afforded us direct sunset views. Was spectacular to do so whilst having a bath on the one hand and then walking out to the balcony to watch hordes of elephants indulge themselves by the waterhole and impalas come for a late drink at night....Priceless ”
