We stayed for 3 nights and used Caribbea Bay Hotel as a base to explore the area. Most hotels in Zimbabwe needs clients and maintenance due to lack of funds. But still a grand old building, a bit stuck in yesteryears.... but staff were very...More
I'll let the photos speak for themselves, hotel needs serious maintenance and renovation, especially when paying USD100. The air-conditioner kept giving an error and had to be switched off and on again to get it going again. I asked for a room with good wifi...More

We were there at the end of September 2015. There were a few power cuts, but after a few minutes the generator was always turned on. This meant that food from the a la carte menu wasn't available in the restaurant but there was plenty of food from the warm buffet to satisfy us. With respect to water, we didn't drink the tap water, as there was always plenty of water provided in the rooms, and we had no problems taking showers. Hope this helps!
