We camped here for two nights. Our site was nice with woods behind us and tall pine trees around us. The site we had was larger than others we have had in campgrounds. There is a swing set and that's about it for kids. As...More

Let me start by saying the sites were very nice and roomy. But they need someone else to run the place. It has a lot of potential. . They were not friendly and were rude. They had only one building with showers with only 4...More

Couples weekend to see Dave Matthews. Check in was concerning. One couple was on there way and 9pm was cut off for check in. They said no one can check in after 9pm. Everyone needed a wristband to be on grounds. Gentleman who checked us...More

I have seen better customer service from 18 year olds. The older adult male with his attention to his cell phone and disregarding customers was surreal though the lady was doing her best to attend to people. I truly appreciate the attention to security and...More

Thank you for your review of Whispering Pines. We have read your comments and feel it is necessary to set the record straight for both you and any potential customers. As you may recall, the office was very busy as we were hosting nearly 700...More

The owner is very rude, they don't answer the phone, never returned my email , return my message and they have some ridiculous rules. They give out bracelets for re-entry in the evening (I don't blame them for doing that). However, I was meeting my...More

We understand your frustration with this situation. We had nearly 700 people in the park that weekend and it is inevitable that some people get irritated with our security procedures. We have been hosting Dave Matthews Band campers for close to 20 years and our...More

Ask a question
Hi,this is more of a "positive" observation, then a question. Personally, we have not stayed at Whispering Pines, but ARE inclined to do so just because of the negative comments that were addressed due to either a large concert and/or high season in the summer. We ARE long time campers and treasure large, clean and private campsites and NON-resort activities. As for charging for a shower, bring your quarters and try to realize how much water costs and the upkeep for this type of amenity. Buy your wood from a place closer by, if you don't want to pay more. We moved from Calif 17 years ago where there were an abundance of campgrounds like this, real old fashioned camping so-to-speak. Out here we have been so disappointed with all the RVs and campsites one on top of another..and who needs a pool, internet, icecream and extra activities when you have the great outdoors? If Camping is the goal, this place sounds great to me..we don't need a resort and don't need people coming in after 9:00 at night to set up their site...plan ahead folks. We're going to add Whispering Pines to our list of QUIET, SPACIOUS, BEAUTIFUL and hopefully, friendly place to camp.

Hello and thank you for your kind comment. Please forgive the lateness of our response. We were out of state for a while and are just catching up with things. It's nice to hear from experienced campers who understand some... More
