Staying at the Dunes for 10 days was an idyllic experience - we've been to Gambia 8 times before and the Dunes is easily the best place we've stayed in, but if you want lots of entertainment and action in the hotel the Dunes is not for you - it is delightfully tranquil. We had one of the suites which...

We have just returned from another glorious two weeks at Dunes resort. This hotel is small and friendly and assistant manager Kabba.will bend over backwards to ensure that his guests have a wonderful stay. This was our third stay at Dunes and although a returnee we booked direct with TC. Yes we did pay more than some other guests but...

We have recently returned from a 2 week holiday staying at the Dunes for the third time in two years. We would not usually review any holiday, in fact this is the first time we have posted a review on tripadvisor. The location is excellant directly on the beach. The gardens leading to the beach are wonderful with sunbeds scattered...

This hotel is in an excellent location with a garden leading straight onto the beach.Shame someone could not clear the small thorns off the hotel sand. It is quiet. We ate some good meals ALONE in the restaurant. The bar did NOT have ice, rum or vodka! The 3 different rooms we stayed in! were adequate although there were power...

Just returned from our third visit this year and it gets better every time.. The Gambia does not have Ebola and nor does its surrounding border Senegal. Friendly, lovely, warm, welcoming people that just need more tourist to help support their struggling economy, especially during this difficult period. the hotel in general is going through improvements continually. The gardens are...

Just been to The Gambia. There is no Ebola! It is miles away. It's so sad to see the places empty when only have a six month season. Wonderful place do not b put off . Hotel was empty and the locals rely on us for a living. Please don't b afraid it is safe

One of the most discreet small hotels in Banjul at a very safe and peaceful location. One has the feeling of being home. The swimming pool opens to a large empty courtyard which ends at the flat pristine white sand beach front. The hallway, restaurant, living quarters and reception are all conveniently separate from the hotel rooms arranged on two...

As a regular visitor to The Gambia during the European winter months, Dunes Hotel Kotu is a haven of peace and tranquillity. I am very lucky, as a non-resident, to be able to use the pool and swim there regularly. The gardens are lovely and peaceful, the staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. There have been many staff changes during...

My Husband and 1 stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over Easter and we recommend this hotel. The hotel was peaceful, relaxing quiet with well-kept compound and gardens. We stayed in a Suite( D3) after reading previous reviews and we were not disappointed. We were able to walk out of its grounds straight onto a lovely sandy beach with...

Recommend this hotel if you want to walk out of its grounds straight onto a lovely sandy beach with the lapping, inviting waves of the sea. Friendly staff prepare sun beds, provide bar service. March tempertures up in the 30's. (Pure Bliss). The hotel was relaxing, quiet, well kept all freshly decorated. We stayed in a Suite as advised by...
