Stayed here in Oct 2013. Belated review prompted by the variable feedback of other guests. Some points to note for potential visitors: 1. You cannot drive direct into camp. You leave your own vehicle at Palmwag and the lodge transfer you in together with your luggage. This is likely to be mid/late afternoon and the drive into camp (c90 minutes)...

loved this place! so quiet and relaxing and some well placed walking and driving safaris for activities. we saw lots of giraffs, zebras, some lions and other animals. the view is amazing and at night theres nothing but the shining stars. the camp is rustical but has kind of a modern design that perfectly fits into the nature. parts of...

To reach this camp, you have to park in the nearby Palmwag lodge, and then transfer in a safari vehicle for 90 minutes! On the way in we saw giraffes and lots of antelopes. Dennis the owner was very welcoming, the tents were basic but clean and comfortable. Loved the outside bucket shower. The food in the evenings was really...

Great place. Set in the hills outside Palmwag. Pretty hard to find so get clear directions. Also the access road from the main road requires 4x4. If in don't call to get support. All inclusive pricing so a great deal. Daily Walking Guided Tour as well as sunset safari drive. Dennis is a great host-super nice. And the staff are...

It is a long way to the lodge, but it's more the worth. On the first sight, you will be surprised. The tents are too big. As we had a little bit lot of baggage, there was no much space. But beeing outsight this was not a big issue. The meals are taken in family at one long table. You...

Our agent could not get us into any nearby lodge or guesthouse but suggested Etendeka Camp. I wasn't sure what were getting into, with guidebook mentioning it was rustic and remote. What a surprise to find this luxury tent camp on the top of plateau, after a long bumpy but fun drive on the way up from Palmwag Lodge. And...

Our stay at Etendeka Camp was great, and one of my favorites during our 13 day trip to Namibia. The 1.5 hour single track guided drive out to the camp was like a game drive. Saw Kudo, Giraffe, Oryx, Zebra, Elephant, and Ostriches on the way in and out of the camp. A 2 night stay was ideal for us,...

Wonderful area, great people, nice food and an overall perfect stay. The accommodation, although simple, was perfectly sufficient and the outdoor bucket-showers were a fun surprise. The family-feel in the lodge was great and this was one of the few places were we really mingled with other guests, as well as the hosts. Dinners are eaten as a group with...

Wow, we just loved this place, and so disappointed we couldn't stay longer. Dennis is a totally charming host, and Bonnie a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. We had just one night here, in beautiful tented accommodation with glorious views over the valley. The bucket shower alone is worth a trip here. Meals are served at a communal table, which is...

The emphasis is on nature and we did two superb morning nature walks led by Boas, each at a gentle pace but lasting a good 3+ hours. We learnt how the plants, insects and animals have adopted to the desert conditions. The tented camp is some 18km from the nearest settlement and the drive to the camp is a safari...
