A good stop-over destination (although not needed on the way from Sesriem/Sossusvlei to the coast), basic rooms (no a/c), dinner was rather good, breakfast rather average. Not very personal service; pricey.

We arrived at the lodge slightly frazzled after driving on the horribly rutted road which runs between Sesreim and Walvis and were immediately delighted by a complimentary update to a spacious rustic room with a fantastic view over the plain. We knew that the rooms have no air conditioning so were prepared for a warm night, but it proved to... More

We stayed for 1 night in October. The campsites are very well laid out with excellent toilet / shower facilities. There was also a good setup for cooking your food (a sort of sheltered area for bbq). As the camping spots overlook a vast plain with mountains in the distance, views are excellent in the morning and evening. Saw Zebras... More

Fantastic view from the campsite, lots of animals (zebra, oryx, springbok) wandering past and kilometers of view. Great sunsets. Only issue was that the shower is heated by firewood... Last place to stay before the national park if coming from the south.

Our entrance to this lodge was worse than expected...we crashed the car 20 km far from the place we were suposed to stay and his owner came happily to "save" us. He helped us carrying all our stuff and fixed everything for us to be ok. NO WORDS TO THANK THE HOSPITALITY. Now talking about the lodge...perfect peaceful place, nothing... More

Wow. What an amazing stay we had at this beautiful lodge. We were made so welcome by the owner and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived fairly late due to our flight not getting in until the afternoon. This wasn't a problem at all, the journey from Windhoek took around 4 hours, but the destination was so worth it.... Much better than the website shows. sundowner gin and tonic while seeing herds of zebras in front of an amazing mountain desert panorama was breathtaking. Later on we enjoyed excellent food and superb South African wine! All in a very remote place! thanks for the great hospitality, especially to the very friendly young host from Chemnitz / Germany and the... More

This lodge is located between Swakopmund and Sossusvlei boasts some of the absolute best vistas in Namibia. The standard rooms are a bit small, so request one of the suites, there are 3... There are 10 walking/hiking trails, a pool with a gorgeous view, and a great verandah-great place to chill out viewing the surrounding area at sunset. Good à... More

If you plan on staying several days in red desert, this is an excellent lodge: it is impeccably managed, the food is top notch (as is the service), the small swimming pool most welcome on a hot day, and the views are simply stunning!
