What a magical getaway- so peaceful and tranquil. Very friendly and professional staff ensuring unbelievable game and fishing experiences.. from finding the African Pita and to following a pack of painted dogs. Thanks so much to Natalie and her team!

A large, contemporary but comfortable lodge, right on the Zambezi River, on the edge of the park, so we did have visitors at the Lodge... (elephant, monkeys, crocs and hippos in the river....). Massiveness rooms with indoor and outdoor bathroom, private pool on deck with a daybed, in a completely unspoiled bush experience. Managers at the property went out of...

What a fabulous place! We arrived via charter plane after buzzing the private airstrip to scare the elephants off the runway. The facilities were incredible and the staff marvelous. The wildlife often came up into the grounds necessitating an escort to our individual canvas walled tents or a "stay in place" until the coast was clear. The activities offered were...

We arrived to smiling staff & elephants milling about in front of the reception. This set the scene for a magical stay. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The food was excellent. The canoe trip to view game is an absolute game changer - one of life's greatest experiences. Dinner one night was set up...

5 exceptional days spent at Royal Zambezi Lodge. The hospitality, accommodation, general setting, food & drink as well as all of the morning and afternoon activities were simply fantastic. Activities included day and night game drives, canoe safari, walking safari, fishing on the Zambezi and simply enjoying a few sundowners with good mates. Saw all of the game you could...

We arrived exhausted, and were immediately revived. This energy remained with us until the moment we left. What a place. Just perfect. The fishing, the game drives, and the overall flexibility of activities made it such an easy, bespoke experience. Go there!

Went with four friends for five days on what was described as 'the ultimate long weekend with the lads'. Amazing fishing and game. The scenery was spectacular especially whilst enjoying a few beers on the veranda suspended over the Zambezi.

For a couple that don't "do" return visits, this was our fifth stay - every two years since first discovered in 2008 - and each time it just seems to get better and better. Always a warm and personalized welcome as you arrive and descend the steps to the lodge and the stunning views across the river from the Tree...

After 3 weeks in South Africa we had 4 nights at the fantastic Royal Zambezi Lodge in a deluxe room. What a wonderful stay overlooking the Zambezi River, watching the herds of elephants crossing onto islands just metres away from us whilst soaking in the outdoor bath, plunge pool. Using the outdoor shower watching beautiful white fronted bee-eaters catching food...

Wow, what a place! We were so lucky to stumble across this destination and had an absolutely fantastic four days. Our then 10 year old son was absolutely captivated by the experience of fishing for tiger fish on the Zambezi and finished the trip having caught three of these magnificent creatures (with a little help from our guide Matthias!). His...
