The temperature was in the mid-90s and we were ready to relax after touring nearby Olana. With nothing but dinner later and Thomas Cole the next day, we settled into a very comfortable room with access to a deck (not that attractive in the heat of the day, but perfect for a glass of wine when the sun was well... The perfect place to stay in Hudson. Our main concerns wherever we stay are cleanliness and location. The Country Squire passes both requirements with flying colors. The Inn's owner, Paul was accommodating and friendly at every level. As mentioned by other reviews, the Quiche is the star for breakfast. Probably the best I ever had. Fresh cut fruits, cereals, juices,... More

Each time I've stayed in the Country Squire Paul's respectful and welcoming style made it seem as though we'd known each other for years. The house is beautiful, the beds so comfortable, the breakfast perfect. All the little details are just right, and it's clean as can be. Paul knows anything there is to know about the area, and he... My boyfriend and I found the Country Squire online having never been to Hudson before. We drove from the city and arrived a little later than planned but Paul, the owner, left us a message and was very accommodating about keys. In the hall and in our room were a ton of pamphlets on local attractions, with umbrellas to borrow... More

We were greeted by a warm and kind gentleman, Paul who owns the B & B, after a very long trip and day. He escorted us through his beautifully appointed home and brought us to our warm and cozy room for two. We had such a wonderful evening filled with delicious food and spirit from a local restaurant Paul recommended... More

This little b&b is amazing. It is cozy and charmingly decorated by Paul who is a great host. We had the king bedroom and the bath had a free standing tub which was such a luxury... For breakfast, along with fruit and cereal, Paul served us homemade quiche that was warm, soft and delicious as well as home baked goods.... More

Beautiful house, great breakfast, extremely comfortable bed ... what more could you ask from a Bed and Breakfast? Our host, Paul, was an absolute delight - friendly, courteous, accommodating, interesting, and very knowledgeable about -- it seems -- all things! The Country Squire is centrally located and is an easy walk to everything in town. If you are visiting Hudson... More

Great place, wonderful services, immaculate, great staff. Spacious rooms, nice finishes, heat in BR and in bath, both controllable. Ample breakfast w/various options, flexible serving times. A short 3 block walk to the main part of why folks visit Hudson. On site parking. Would happily recommend and, visit again!

Hudson is one of my favorite little cities for walking, shopping, dining. It's a perfect escape from the overly suburban strip-mall infested world I live in that is not my first choice but best supports my fulltime job situation. If you want to truly enjoy Hudson, I recommend that you stay overnight in a place like this! The Country Squire... More

This B & B is truly a gem! It is a comfortable Victorian home, classically decorated and centrally located to downtown Hudson. Paul is a gracious host, who is well versed in the history of the Hudson Valley. I would highly recoommend it to my friends and family.
