If anyone is looking for a weekend out of NYC, check out Hudson city. We stayed at The Hudson City Bed and breakfast for two nights Great house, delicious home made breakfast ( the omelette was superb ) The owner, Barry is friendly, chatty and helpful. Hudson itself is a delightful place, some great restaurants, bars and antique shops, as...

I left Barry's this morning, fuelled by his delicious French toast with cinnamon & applesauce after 4 wonderful days. Travelling solo from Sydney, Australia to Hudson for a friend's wedding, I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Comfortable, clean, charming house & rooms and Barry is a wonderful host. A friend stayed in another more expensive place...

Thank you so much for this lovely review! It was a pleasure having you stay during the wedding, and I'm honored that you and your friend thought so highly of my omelettes. Wishing you safe travels on the rest of your journey! Warmly, Barry

This was my first time staying at a b&b, and it was a great experience. The b&b is conveniently located near Warren street, which has restaurants, antique shops, furniture shops, spas, etc. Barry was very accommodating. I had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms. I originally requested a room with a tub. The room was under construction, so...

I'm so honored and thrilled that I could make your first B&B experience a good one. My apologies for the minor repairs taking place during your stay. I really appreciate your understanding and I'm glad you enjoyed the two other rooms so much. You're really too kind about the breakfast. It's my pleasure. Please keep me in mind should you...

Barry has taken his "city chic" (he is originally from the West Village, NYC) and turned it "country cool." Hudson City B&B is eclectic, clean, comfortable and classy (without being pretentious.) The bedrooms have high quality sheets, the living room is filled with super comfy overstuffed furniture and interesting books, and there is a big round beautifully decorated dining table...

Barry hits just the right note between being welcoming and giving his guests the space they need! And his two handsome sons even provided entertainment and added to the family atmosphere. The rooms and baths are clean and well-stocked.....the space is quiet, historic, and very close to the charming downtown. And of course the breakfasts are amazing - with great...

Barry is a delightful innkeeper. He is gracious, solicitous to just the right degree, and very helpful with recommendations for attractions and restaurants. The breakfasts he serves are delicious and beautifully presented. My group of friends and I totally enjoyed our stay. The house is historic and dates to 1865. She shows signs of age - as she should. If...

If you are looking for a place that is pristine, perfectly neat, with manicured gardens, this is not the place. However, the proprietor, Barry, more than makes up for it with his gentle, kind personality and helpfulness. And as everyone has commented, his waffles and omelettes are fantastic. Our room was very large (and yes, no door between bedroom and...

Just finished our 4th stay here over the last several years. We love this charming city and B and B. We feel very at home and taken care of. We relax and have fun, much of it having to do with Barry's attention - he always steers us in the right direction food and adventure wise. Have to say I...

I came back after a visit a few years ago, great setting, living room and breakfast. Barry helps people settle in, while we go about our adventures in Hudson. Rooms in tasteful Hudson style. Nice front balcony to sit and relax on.
