Stayed at the Woods Inn for one night during the week when traveling on business. Bed was very comfortable, and the best part was that I could open the window and feel the breeze from the lake. Hanging on the porch (wifi) while the sun set was pretty nice too. Price was a little high, but it was a nice...

I made a reservation for 5 nights figuring when I was done with the workshop I was staying there for I would have an extra night to just relax before I went home. That did not happen. The day we arrived for check in we were told that they had just had a large party check out so even though...

We stayed here for a Photography Workshop and while the property was beautiful, with beautiful views, the Inn itself was not well taken care of. First of all we arrived at 2pm which was the designated checkin time and told it would be another hour before our room was ready. Ok, no prob, he gave us the keys and told...

Staying at this quirky Adirondack inn is like staying at a favorite relative's house. Service can be slow and scattered but it's homey and you feel like family. The furniture, like the inn is old and creaky but gorgeous. The place is quiet and clean. Beds are comfortable. No phones or TVs in the rooms. WiFi throughout. No elevators but...

What can I say, possibly the finest representation of what the Americas should be, The Woods Inn is idyllically situated; souring skies above wide flat clear lakes, surrounded by deep green forests. The Inn is wrapped in a wooden porch which brings back visions of Gone with the Wind. It is admittedly a remote location but full of charm and...

We were looking for a place to hold a family dinner for my Dad's birthday!! We were a table of 14 and needed reservations. The Woods Inn was delighted to have us. I even had a coupon from Restaurant.com which they honored with no problem. Our waitress, Hyde, was amazing! She didn't miss a beat. All the orders were correct....

This historic inn, sitting majestically at one end of Fourth Lake, has a lovely and inviting dining room with an even grander seating along its enclosed porch, offering its patrons spectacular lakeside dining. The menu boasts many familiar dishes, but also some unique to the area or season: venison and Brook trout, for instance. The wine list is extensive and...

Have stayed here a couple times. Once for a Wedding that I must say was the best wedding that I have ever been to. The people who work there/owners are super nice and helpful. The Views are to die for and being lulled to sleep by the loons on the lake is just phenomenal. The 4 rooms that I saw...

We visited to enjoy St Patrick's day and to snowshoe. The location was in the middle of everything in Inlet. The rooms were a nice size for a quaint hotel. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A restored turn of the century inn with tavern and restaurant. Situated on Fourth Lake in Inlet with amazing Adirondack views. This is an award - winning historic property we designed to be a true Adirondack experience. The decor is meant to be campy shabby - chic. While we have added the modern conveniences that we think were lacking in the past century, we have tried to create a less stressful mountain environment that brings back another time. ... more   less
