This was our second trip to Ithaca (for parent's weekend) and our second stay at City Lights Bed & Breakfast.. Each time it has been perfect. The Inn is up a hill about 10 minute drive from Cornell. The rooms are comfortable, warm and have everything we need. Lots of plants, rugs, and other homey touches in each room. The...

We had read all the raving reviews for the Inn at City Lights and were lucky enough to secure a reservation for our college reunion weekend in Ithaca. Everything was perfect: the welcoming, warm atmosphere at the inn; the gorgeous views of Ithaca and the valley below from almost every window; the spotless room and bath, and exceptionally comfortable bed;...

Hi everyone, We had an amazing 2 nights stay with Colleen and Evan at city lights. They are really nice people with who share their life experience and their knowledge about the area. Don't skip the breakfast :-) after the good night sleep at one of their warm suites/rooms.

What a great place to stay! I had read the excellent reviews for this B&B before we went on a road trip throught NY state in late August/early Sept 2009. So we just turned up without a reservation and boy, were we lucky! It was the only weekend that Evan and Colleen had had a room free since the beginning...

We stayed here during a hot spell early August, and Evan and Colleen could not have been more accomodating. We arrived at 530 pm on Friday, and they gave us the grand tour. It's right outside Ithaca, and you really can appreciate the beauty as the sun went down. Perhaps the thing I enjoyed most was the 'down-to-earth' mentality of...

I've been to Ithaca many times and having tried most of the hotels in the area, I thought I would try a bed and breakfast. I was not disappointed. Colleen ("ithaca calves") and Evan were extremely welcoming and made us feel at home...the room was well appointed and impeccably clean. Breakfast was terriffic-- have evan make his breakfast burritos!

We just got back from spending 5 wonderful nights in the Petite Suite and what a lucky find!!! We were helping our daughter prepare for her wedding celebration and couldn't think of a better place to wake up in in the morning, eat a delicious breakfast, and then come back to in the evening. Although our daughter and son-in law...

City Lights is in a great location - it's easy and quick to get to central Ithaca, but feels a little bit removed in a great, relaxing way. The accommodations were just what we wanted - very comfortable bed, nice and quiet, and lots of space to enjoy, both in our suite and on the grounds. Breakfast was yummy -...

“We stayed in "Granny's Room". There is no en-suite bathroom but the way the house is set up we had the floor to ourselves, so our bathroom was just down the hall. The room has a queen sized bed, so comfortable for a couple. There's a great view from the room, so I witnessed a beautiful sunrise one morning.”
