My wife and I recently stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. Ken and Madeline have made a wonderful place for people to stay in Ithaca. The Inn is beautiful and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were very good as we never left hungry. Madeline was a wonderful hostest. We would definitely stay here again. We hated to leave.

The Inn on Columbia is a perfect sanctuary - part zen, part efficiency, all wonderful. I visited my college daughter and was able to deal with typical school demands - financial aid department, grocery store run, dorm supplies, yadayadayada and was still able to feel as if I were having a vacation as well. The room was well-appointed, comfortable and...

We completed our Finger Lakes road trip with a 2 night stay in the main building. The architecture, the handmade furniture, the ever-present beverages, snacks, soft music made this B&B truly a lovely experience. Madeline's delicious breakfasts made choosing one each day a bit of a challenge. The coffee was delicious, a perfect start! The inn is wonderfully located just...

I live in Ithaca and have had friends and family stay at this charming place. The accommodations are top-notch---from the gorgeous guest houses to the design of every last detail --to the linens and especially the scrumptious muffins and treats----Madeline and Kenn have seemingly thought of everything. They are welcoming and extremely helpful to travelers as they have extensive knowledge...

My friend and I stayed at the Inn on Columbia in a room in the main house with two twin beds, which was just perfect for us! I brought my small dog, and Madeline was wonderful and very accommodating. She had a bag of dog treats waiting in the room, and didn't mind when we left the dog at the...

We were in The Red Room in Villa Madeline...around the corner from the main house. It's on the first floor at the front of the building. Aurora St. is the main road between downtown and Ithaca College, so there is a steady stream of cars during the day and evening. We were not awakened by the traffic, but certainly aware...

Thank you for taking the time to write. We are aware that the villa Madeline is on a busy street. We have done extra sound insulation in the walls and ceilings and constructed a garden wall as a sound barrier. Still, the house is in the city and subject to traffic noise. We welcome you to come stay with us...

We stayed 2 nights at Maison Mango, which is affordable when divided among 4 or 5 adults. Ample parking, and friendly owners. The fireplace worked well for a cool Ithaca night, and the house comes stocked with food in the refrigerator, snacks, and everything you need for coffee and a quick breakfast. The only thing lacking was the air conditioning...

Thanks for taking the time to write. Glad you enjoyed your stay. If closed ,the louvered door turns the light out and cool air still flows through it.

Many many years of staying at different residences with the Inn at Columbia (Hillview House, Villa Madeline, and more recently, Maison Mango), and always very pleasant experiences with Kenn and Madeline, except our last visit, in December 2013. Appreciative because we had arrived a few days earlier due to blinding snow conditions, we entered Mango Maison, and while very cute...

While we are happy to see all our guests arrive ,some make us happier when they depart. These guests have stayed with us several times as they have recognized our Inn as an attractive place to stay and we have always treated them respectfully despite the way they treated our property. Their review is an overreaction to my asking them...

This inn is as far from cookie-cutter as you can get. Tailored elegance and individual style without any frou-frou. We would have missed Tauhannock Falls, were it not for the excellent advice of our host.

"Perfectly balanced" yet only rated us 4 stars. Please realize that we work really hard to make your stay in comfortable and fun. Any rating other than 5 stars lowers our ratings.

Loved our overnight at Madeline House. Our room at front was noisy but very comfy. Loved the privacy, the boxed delicious breakfast as well as a seating area where I could go when awake at night due to my always present insomnia! This has become our go to place when visiting my son at college.
