We enjoyed this hotel for one night. Check-in was fast and easy. Staff was available and friendly even though we arrived at midnight. The building is new and clean. The location was very convenient to JFK airport (although there isn't a shuttle). Neighborhood was fine and safe from what we could tell. Noise from our 4th floor room was not a problem. We could hear distant muffled car noise with about 4 occurrences of somebody revving the engines, but definitely quiet enough to sleep through. Our room was right next to the elevator, but the bell sound was fairly soft and was not jarring; it didn't wake us up. Hot complimentary breakfast was good. Better than many hotels at this price point. We enjoyed: scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffle maker, bagels, bread / toast, crescents, cereals, cream cheese, butter, jam, coffee, etc.…
The hotel is brand new so it is clean. The staff is still learning what to do... The most important thing today is internet and here the cellphone reception is bad and so is the Wi-Fi. All the other Comfort Inns have an awesome coffee service 24 hours, but not here. It is located in a dark basement and the coffee is cold and there is no half and half or any creamer so you need to go next door at Dunkin Donuts and pay for coffee. It is very noisy at night with trucks pulling in and out as well as loud cars. There is no shuttle to the airport and the airport is 3 miles away so more taxi fare. The neighborhood is limited and not a stroll around at night neighborhood. Looking for a bed just to sleep and leave quickly again, then go there.
Had been up over 16 hours going home international,, when flight cancelled and next available reservation was 5 days. Airline said they would get us a hotel but it would take 3-4 hours more. Did get a taxi voucher and in traffic it took almost an hour. the return took 15 minutes. No restaurant but they do sell microwave meals. They could recommend delivery from nearby. because of diet we walked across street to market and got a rotisserie chicken and cheese. We were on 1st floor and it was not noisy. It was a Friday night, but we had been up far to long not to sleep. the room was good sized with a king nonsmoking bed. everything was in good repair. I called front desk because I was so tired I could not understand A/C controls. they were there in under 3 minutes. (did not see wall control) We were early included breakfast bar but were able to get juice and bagels. the layout looked like it would be ample. I would prefer not to get stuck in NY again but would stay here again if I did.…
We came through this hotel for a couple hour's sleep and a hot shower. Although the water pressure wasn't great, it did provide us with our most basic needs. The night time front desk clerk wasn't particularly quick with the check in process, as we stood there for about 20 minutes dealing with credit card info and arranging our taxi for the next morning. However, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Recommended for a quick night's stay for travelling!
Very close to the airport. We had an overnight layover and stayed there. Front desk agent was very friendly and helpful. Made us feel comfortable in a hotel that was not typical for us. Definitely not a tourist location but is very convenient if you need a room for the night. Complementary shuttle to the airport in the morning.
