this small motel in Jamesport is actually known as SHOREWOOD INN and I must say it is a great place to say......very reasonable in price and newly renovated. I spent East week there and rented a studio whicxk allowed me to make a hot breakfast and have lunch if I wanted. The location is excellent for daytrips to wineries as well as to towns like Greenport, Shelter Island, Sag Harbor the Hamptons, Montauck, etc....some great resturantrs near the motel. The owner and staff work very hard at keeping the accomodations in great shape....very friendly and professional following all covid protocals. I would sya because of such a reasonable price as well as very nice accomodations this will be my go place to stay when out on the east end. Enjoy it

Woke up to two bed bugs next to me and have been dealing with the anxiety of bringing them home for days now. Looked like a cute place but 100% not worth the risk. When I brought up what I saw when checking out they barely had anything to say to me besides “I’m sorry about that”.

We had the "deluxe "room which was O K . The location of the inn close to the road provided a symphony of road noise. The room was very clean and comfortable but small . Breakfast was provided and the items included hard boiled egg, muffin, fruit and yogurt. The coffee was excellent.

We were looking for a hotel near the vineyards so we didn’t have to drive. The Duncan Inn was perfect. The rooms have been updated and were exceptionally clean, which is even more important in these day and ages. Duncan was very hospitable and offered to start us a fire. He also made us reservations for Italian food at a local restaurant in walking distance which was outstanding. Was lovely to have a pre and post dinner bottle of wine in their little party area. Also I believe it’s pet friendly. Will come back next time in the area.

I love The Duncan Inn. Duncan and his staff are all wonderful. The location in Jamesport is excellent. You can get everywhere super fast. All of the reviews are correct, not exaggerating at all. The room I rented had a kitchen and 2 burner stove. The room is super clean, not broken down at all. Seemed all brand new. Duncan does provide breakfast. Everything everyone says in their reviews: hard boiled eggs, coffee, yogurt, muffins, fruit. The best is Duncan and his staff are all approachable. It's also very quiet. Loved my stay. It was my first time this past weekend but we will be back. On Monday Duncan provided passes for the beach (also beautiful) and thank God he mentioned we needed those passes. Thanks Duncan and Team! Love you guys, Maria and Ray stayed 9/5/2020-9/7/2020
