My wife and I stayed there Friday August 29th 2014. I have been staying at this place since about 1990, approximately once overy 1-2 years, since it was the Colony motel. I have watched it grow old, and deteriorate over the years. It needs a complete overhall. The last one was probably 1970-1980. I noticed a definite change a few...

There were stairs up to the second floor on the outside of the motel. They were covered in loose rubber mats that were obviously a stop gap remedy to rotting and unsafe stairs. We had to go very slowly and did trip up several times. Very dangerous. We were there for three nights. Only one night were we able to...

This property fell outside of my usual comfort zone being as it is a lower quality motel. That being said, my overall impression was very good. Yes, it is an older property, however staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are very small, but I was pleased to see my room was very clean and even had a modern flat screen...

Me and my husband spent there 1 night. Parking is for free. Hotel requires renovation and paint. Rooms are small but nice. In a very small space they fitted fridge, double bed, TV and it makes it really claustrophobic. If you plan to stay over in Gold Rush Trail, pick Murphy’s. Nicer village with a little bit bigger restaurant choice.

I had made a reservation 2 months out planning a family trip to Jamestown, NY. We had a family emergency that prompted a change in our family weekend. I called to cancel the reservation the day before check in. I was informed that I would lose my reservation fee of $145 and they would not refund. The manager, Neil, is...

Stayed two weeks here while my mother was ill and in the hospital. The rooms and baths are very clean. The proprietors were friendly and very helpful during a difficult time. I changed rooms when I first arrived and they were very accommodating. The location is very central - near shops and restaurants. The breakfast room was adequate but I...

We needed a place near our home to stay while having our floors done. We chose this hotel because it was close and has been in the area for many years. Check in was fast and the staff friendly. We found the room very clean and pleasant. It appeared to be recently painted and carpet was new. The bed was...

“We stayed on the ground floor and the vehicles park in front the rooms. Late nighters return and you can hear the opening and closing of the vehicles trunks and doors. Can be annoying to a light sleeper. People walk fronting the room to the dining area on the ground floor between 7am to 10am for complimentary breakfast and may be upsetting for someone who wants to sleep in late.”
