We stayed at this wonderful Bed & Breakfast last weekend and we were very pleasantly surprised. We were attending an event at the nearby Bethel Woods Center. The Jefersonian was clean, comfortable and classy. It is filled with old style charm and the rooms are large and well appointed. The breakfast, which was prepared and served bt the owner Helen, was fantastic! I can't say enough about this place.....a real treat!
Lovely accommodations in this beautiful, clean, well-cared for inn. Attentative hostess, excellent service, and hospitality. Tasty breakfast served in delightful dining room. Antiques galore. Would return in a minute!
We stayed at this bed and breakfast for three nights and found it very comfortable. We found the owner, Helen, to be very friendly and helpful, with many suggestions on what to do in the area. It has seven good sized bedrooms, of which five are en-suite, two sitting areas, a dining room and a large kitchen. We were the only guests at the time and had the whole place to ourselves and Helen was happy for us to use the kitchen facilities had we wanted to. I have to say that the breakfast Helen laid on really set us up for the day! At the top of the house is a large room with a pool table and a large screen TV with two settees so ideal if staying with family. Our primary reason for being in the area was to visit Bethel Woods Centre for the Arts, which is just a fifteen minute drive away, but we found that there is a lot to do in this area and the Jeffersonian is ideally situated close to the Catskills. Jeffersonville is a small village but does have a supermarket, petrol station, cafe and a bar/restaurant that has a varied menu so enough to keep you happy for a few days. If visiting this area, I would recommend staying at the Jeffersonian B and B.…
This is a great place to stay after a Bethel Woods concert or just for a quiet stay in the country. beautiful, clean and comfortable, a hot breakfast in the morning and absolute quiet. Rooms are pretty but TV's are small and funny.
We rented the entire house for a family reunion - 14 of us stayed there. The inn-keeper, Helen was easy to work with, and accommodating. The house is lovely, and comfortable - well appointed, with historic charm. Well located in Jeffersonville, a short walk to shops, drug store and grocery. We will definitely stay at the Jeffersonian again!
