What a wonderful time. We were truly blessed at this place. Wayne and Amy were the perfect host for us. Breakfast was amazing every morning, conversations were great, our bed was super comfortable, the room clean and cozy, and the experience overall amazing. Hiking was a blast, and so many close by to choose from. Snow mountain was walking distance from Snow Goose Bed & Breakfast, a huge plus. We are really grateful to have a super blessed experience and will definitely go back again. Thank you so much Wayne and Amy
Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful hidden gem in the Lake Placid Area. The owners are wonderful and provide a warm, pleasant stay even in the middle of winter! Small details and delicious breakfasts included, this bed and breakfast is a must if you are headed to this area! Your hosts are experts about hiking and adventures in the Adirondacks and make sure to provide everything you need for a comfortable stay! If you are looking to wind down and enjoy nature this is the place to be!
I’ve passed the drive to the Snow Goose for years, completely unaware what a beautiful lodge was just feet away. The place has all the charm of its venerable old building but lovingly restored with comfortable, elegant furnishings. Amy and Wayne went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious. There was abundant common area—like being in a big living room. But my room was completely quiet and secluded, looking out onto magnificent old trees. Will definitely come back.
Almost the only thing in the whole world that seems to matter when away from home is a good bed. If that is right, the adventures and misadventures of a trip can usually be taken in stride. Snow Goose was loaded with charm and great concern on the hosts’ parts to our comfort. The beds though, like many B&Bs that I have been to, are severely lacking. Admittedly, my wife and I are not tiny people, but much of the stay, I found myself sleeping on the floor. I finally write this in February 2021 as it is the first time I have been away from home since that Summer sojourn as I write this from the relative comfort of a chain hotel’s firm and functional bed........sweet dreams.
Amy and Wayne have created a most beautiful and comfortable B&B "base camp" for adventures into the High Peaks region. Their love of the Adirondacks shines through all that they offer... expert guidance on hikes and other regional services and places of interest, delicious breakfasts accommodating varied dietary needs, and a most congenial hospitality. I have been hiking in this region for over 45 years and look forward to a return visit to Snow Goose soon!
