Lovely place to stay. Very clean and well-kept. Nice kitchen area where you could cook your own meal or make a cup of coffee or tea. Decor is rustic wooden beds and tables. Close to the trails, so great as a place to rest after a hard hike. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean. Lots of free stuff: The kitchen was well equipped, so we saved a lot of money by cooking in. Laundry was free, and the inn even provided detergent. The room had a nice selection of soaps, shampoos, etc. Very proximate to many trailheads. I notice that some reviewers were surprised by a lack of private bathrooms. We stayed...

We had a wonderful one-night stay in the Hedge Hog room with our two dogs, which we were able to book for a very reasonable rate just a few days ahead even though it was the middle of peak season for summer hiking. Innkeeper Steve was quick to answer my email questions about the kitchen, and I was welcomed warmly...

Was delighted to find this little gem in the midst of the High Peaks trailheads... The rustic furniture, which was made by the innkeeper with locally sourced woods, the earthtone walls and bedding, wood floors, and shared bathrooms, full kitchen, and laundry make this inn the opposite of the you-could-be-anywhere franchise motels you find in nearby Lake Placid, and more...

This place is so nice. It is conveniently located between popular climbs and hikes in the Adirondacks. It has a nice diner across the street and a grocery store is a short walk away. It is so scenic and pretty here. This place has a beautiful full kitchen and bathrooms as well as wifi and everything you need. The owner,...

Stayed one night prior to hiking Colvin and Blake. Very nice place, furnishings are rustic and fit the region perfectly (and most are handmade by the Owner...so cool!). No TV in the room (which is a good thing, but they do have reliable wifi if needed). Has a large full service kitchen where you can store your hiking food or...

We stayed for 5 days at the RoosterComb Inn. The Inn was very clean with a big refrigerator and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. Beautiful rustic furniture and gracious hosts. Easy access to many hikes in the area. The only reason for taking 1 star off is that on the weekend, when all the rooms were filled, it was a...

My girlfriend found the Roostercomb through the Adirondack subreddit and we were not disappointed at all! Steve (the owner) was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and even hung out with us and gave us insight into what we could do to have fun during our stay. The Inn was immaculate and featured beautiful rustic furniture, a deck, and...

This is my second stay here and as on my previous visit, thoroughly enjoyed it. Steve the owner is very friendly and will join you at the evening fire and let you know whats going on in the area. The Inn itself is very rustic with beautiful hand made furniture and exceptionally clean. Convenient to the Garden and Rooster Comb...

We stayed at the Rooster Comb Inn for three nights in May 2014, wanting to explore the Adirondacks. This is the perfect location to do so... several trailheads close by, and Lake Placid is a short 20 minutes drive. Steve, John and Anna were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. With a shared kitchen and free coffee,...
