We spent 5 nights in their campground while exploring the area. Don't expect satellite TV reception. All the sites are in a pine forest. All the hook ups worked fine. It rained while we were there and some dirt and debris got tracked into the motor home. The are wonderful walking trails all around the campground and GREAT for dog...

My family spent a week camping here while visiting relatives. The campground is older and needs some 'updating'. The showers are very small (but clean) and out sites 30 amp outlet had a 20 amp breaker in it. Overall for the price and location we will probably be back. Not the best campground I have stayed at but definitely not...

Camped in a 5th wheel with full hookups. The size of the site was average, good shade, no buffers between sites, the fire pit was almost non existent. Amenities include a pool, laundry room, shuffleboard, horseshoes, playground for kiddies and a sand volleyball court. The washrooms and showers are in two locations and are older and many of the washroom...

First, let me say that the young lady at the checkin desk was very helpful and polite. Overall not a bad campsite; although our particular site needed a cleaning. Still lots of papers and bottle caps left on the ground. Very convenient location wise as it is just across the street from the Chasm welcome center. Great biking trails, but...

We arrived and were welcomed to a little piece of paradise in upper Adirondack Mountains . The cabin was incredible! Clean as a whistle! The only smell was the enjoyable fragrance of the cedar logs forming the walls. The mattresses are what you would expect from a campground, thin, but clean and encased in a protective plastic which I preferred...

We are at the campground and are having a pleasant time. Bathrooms and shower are clean, the site we have is pretty level and surrounded by pine. For the most part staff has been friendly and helpful. We ordered wood when we make the reservation the price is fair. The area is beautiful, but isolated. So you need to plan...

I was told that you go to Ausable chasm for the chasm and not for the camping. That's very true. While the sites are clean and bathrooms are decent, there is relatively no privacy on each site as its a very open concept. We have tented here 3 times. But we tent for the view of the chasm and not...

Wonderful natural wooded setting. Arrive before dark as sites are hard to determine after night fall. The park does not have pavement as to keep everything as natural as possible. Walking distance to the chasm. Staff is top notch!

We visited this campground as part of a 1-month family road trip around Eastern Canada and USA and this was the "back to nature" part of a road-trip otherwise dominated by man-made cities or tourist Meccas. Mainly a camping/RV setup, it does welcome road-trippers with its cabins, all set up in a forest with clearings to house the cabins/campers. The...

I would recommend people to go and visit the site but do not stop a Ausable Chasm Campground to sleep. Find a place in Plattsburgh instead (only 10-15 minutes away). This campsite is really not private. There are trees but not enough on the campsites so you really see your neighbour and it is noisy. Just don't go there. You...
