We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend after coworkers had recommended it for couples. While the property is beautiful, we felt that everything was very overpriced for what it ended up being. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to a lake-view room, yet it still felt small for the going rate of $679 per night. The restaurant is the most grossly overpriced offering at this hotel. With an already limited menu, the least expensive item on the dinner list was pasta, running for $35... We ordered the Halibut for $41, which came out overcooked and half the size of what we were expecting. On a positive note, the cocktail menu was very diverse and curated by the bartender on site. Would recommend the Espresso martini and Pink Panther. On another note, we wish we would have passed on the spa altogether. The massage was mediocre at best, with a less than experienced masseuse. The facility was small and the experience before/after the massage wasn't ideal. There were a few wicker chairs to sit on next to a fire with tea and outdoor showers without a door... there was only a small sauna (could fit 2 people) and no steam room or secluded baths / hot-tub. Would not recommend spending $150+ on a 50 minute massage here. While the service was superb, we probably won't be coming back. You can spend your money better elsewhere!

We had a wonderful stay at Kenoza Hall for a small friend get together. It was a pristine property - charming and modern - with plenty of intimate areas to gather as a group but remain socially distant. The service was exceptional, and we enjoyed the food and drinks. The spa was tranquil but spare on amenities. Overall, we were really happy with our choice to stay!

The description seemed great. Cost of room way out of line with the quality and placement of the room. Paid almost $500/night overlooking a roof. No place to put suitcase, no place to put toiletries. Would never recommend or return. Massage very mediocre and expensive with tip already included. Thought I would drown and masseuse lacked knowledge of those in same price bracket. No curtain in “communal” shower. As I was about to disrobe gentleman came through door from sauna with me in full naked sight.

If you are looking for a remote, quiet, relaxing, romantic, easy-to-get-to weekend getaway, this is your place. We could not have loved Kenoza Hall more - so much that we got engaged here on the lake so it will always have a special place in our hearts. The building is spectacular - every space was beautifully renovated and nothing was left undone. The beds are ridiculously comfortable and there are a lot of cozy places to hang out in the building! So many activities and amenities included - the spa is gorgeous and I wish I had a yoga studio at home with those views and cork floor! Food was great - especially brunch! - and eating it fireside in the living room was cozy and romantic. The staff really makes this place - being small, it is the same 2-3 people that help you over the weekend and they could not make you (or your furry friend!) feel more welcome or at home. My ONLY complaint - it's an old building so the walls and floors are thin. We stayed in a First Floor King (which are technically on the second floor) and you can hear everything - footsteps in the hallways and on the stairs, and noise from the restaurant and bar below us that went far later than bedtime. As we had our dog with us, this made for a tough first night as he got used to the noises he doesn't hear at home. The rooms are also VERY small - NYC small - but with so many nooks to hang out around the building and outside, you don't need to spend a lot of time in there! Love, love, LOVE this destination and we can't wait to go back - so much so that we're considering hosting our wedding here!

Responded Mar. 30, 2021
Hello Shelley, Thank you for your thoughtful words about Kenoza Hall and our Team, we appreciate it greatly! Yes, we were super excited to hear about the engagement, congratulations to you and Stephen one more time! We are also sorry about Winston (the pup) and the noise he had to work around, for the next time you stay with us we will look at a larger and more quiet variation of our room types. We always like to ensure your party is comfortable at all times! Thanks again, and we enjoyed seeing you have breakfast by the fire. I had a great time making you mimosas as well. Please feel free to reach out to us if you would like to book another stay or inquire about our on-site events. Best, -Jordain & The Kenoza Hall Team.

We just returned from the most spectacular stay at Kenoza Hall + are now counting down the days until we can visit again. Like most folks this past year, we've been hunkered down + sheltering in place, however, we were lucky enough to make a break for it for a short but perfectly sweet stay at Kenoza Hall over this past weekend. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman, John, who offered assistance with our bags and led us straight to Kira, who carefully crafted a hyper local welcome beverage for us aptly named"Be Our Guest" which featured spirts from Sullivan County! She led us to our room which was MUCH more than a room, the Grand Lake Loft. After spending 11 months in a tiny NYC apartment, we were over the moon for the extra space and enjoyed every moment in the perfectly curated suite. The loft, as well as all the common spaces are beautifully designed - every where you look a new and interesting vignette to take in. Due to the current climate, we elected to have both dinner and breakfast delivered to our room, again flawlessly handled. Andrew the bartender helped us there. The soaking tub, the juices on the breakfast menu, the Parisian gnocchi with black truffles all stood out BUT the soap, shampoo and conditioner were the most incredible scents I've had the pleasure to smell. We went snow shoeing in the morning and had the opportunity to meet Jordain, the General Manager who checked in with us on our stay and solidified Kenoza Hall as our home away from home for hopefully many stays to come!
