I’ve spent a week at Lake George every year for the past six years and have never been compelled to leave a bad review of my lodging until now. Lake George is quaint and modest and many of the motels and hotels mirror those qualities. Lido, however, is an utter disgrace. Here is what I observed in the two bedroom suite: the cooking utensils for guests were dirty, the pots were blackened, discolored, and dirty, there were stains on the walls, mouse droppings near the kitchen baseboard AND in the stove (horrifying), mildew on the shower curtain, etc. I realized very quickly that little to no cleaning took place between the previous guest’s exit and our arrival. Given the current situation with the pandemic, I could not stay there. I was fortunate to make other arrangements for my family on short notice but realize this could have ruined our vacation. PLEASE heed my words! I can’t attest to the conditions in other rooms, but the second floor two bedroom suite was NOT suitable for human habitation. The only positive things about this place are its proximity to the village center and the young lady at the front desk.…
Originally booked for a week but left after one night Plz didn’t stay here Pros proximity to center Cons rat droppings uncleaned stains & spills non working televisions Air condition units barely work.
We frequent Lake George often and usually stay on the lake but this time we were running up for a long weekend to attend a seminar in the off season so we didn't need much. We were pleasantly surprised - the room was spottless and had evrything we needed for a very reasonable price and so quite being off the main street. Owners even made sure the heat was on before we arrived. Loved how easy it was to walk to Price Chopper each morning and a new place called The Breakfast Spot. Will be staying here again.
Stayed here for a trip with my boyfriend for our three year anniversary, reasonably priced and very clean room. Bed wasn’t the best but comfortable enough, will probably go back if staying in lake George again.
The front office staff at this hotel are friendly and accommodating. The location is close to the main thoroughfare, but a block away, so the area is quiet. The pool is the normal size for a hotel, and clean. The rooms are small and clean. The hotel itself could use a coat of paint in places. And the bathroom towels (one of my favorite ways of distinguishing luxury hotels) are relatively small and thin. Since I have no experience with other hotels in Lake George, I am hesitant to say how this hotel compares with others. It is perfectly adequate for spending a night or two. It was slighlly more expensive than I thought it deserved to be, but I was there at the height of the summer holiday season.
