My family and I had the pleasure of celebrating my Grandaughtrer Megan's graduation. The experience was wonderful, from the beautiful setting, the breathtaking views, the magnificent food and fabulous service. Thank you for making her day so special.
Went for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The setting and hotel are beautiful, the staff is wonderful And really went out of their way, the breakfast and food at the restaurant for dinner are delicious! Magical stay!!!
Yes, this is a lovely old mansion but if a view matters to you beware of the Jogues Suite. I/we travel regularly and typically pay around $200 a night; Jogues was $275 and it’s a complete ripoff. The room was very clean but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it and, as you can see, absolutely no view from any window. All in all Erlowest was a major disappointment. Breakfast was satisfactory but rather small portions. And we had to ask for sat/pepper/condiments since there were none on the table. We left with the feeling that this aspires to be an elegant, classy, top of the line establishment but misses the mark. Buyer beware!
From the moment I checked in until the time I left, after a four-night stay in the Howe Suite, was wonderful. The staff were gracious and efficient. Every request I made was fulfilled, from the step stool procured by Ms. Laurie Jones (Guest Services Manager), to extra wine glasses needed when my family visited provided by Ms. Marilynn McNutt (Executive Housekeeper). The gorgeous four-poster bed and the jacuzzi tub were too high for a short person, hence the step stool was necessary. The housekeepers, Robyn and others, kept the suite comfortable and clean. Breakfast was made fresh every morning, was delicious and beautifully presented - thank you Chef. Both Jason and Shanna made each breakfast extra enjoyable by their friendly service. Made it worth getting dressed early for someone who's not a morning person! The staff at the Front Desk were very hospitable and made me as well as my visitors feel very welcome - thank you Megan, Harley and Patrick! They also host parties and weddings, but the noise is minimal and all parties ended around 8pm when I was there. The stone structure is more than 100 years old, so naturally there are some cracks and chipped paint, but I saw no safety issues and I think that adds character to the Inn. Not having room service or a restaurant open every night wasn't a problem as there were plenty of places that deliver food (try Pizza Jerk for great food). Plus not having a 24-hour restaurant allowed for some peace and quiet to enjoy the surroundings. Of course, the setting right on Lake George is gorgeous, even more so than the pictures posted online. My stay at The Inn at Erlowest was worth every penny. Definitely plan to stay there each time I'm in Lake George to visit family.…
Wanting to stay someplace romantic and upscale, we chose the Inn at Erlowest. The March weather was in our favor as it was 70 degrees when we arrived. Beautiful setting overlooking NYS's most spectacular lake. The Montcalm room where we stayed had a private balcony access. We enjoyed the Cheese platter and prosecco we ordered ahead of time on the balcony in the late afternoon sun. We decided to dine there and dinner was excellent. The breakfast in the morning was just enough and they have excellent coffee. It was a perfect anniversary get away.
