We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past when the property was owned by Wyngate hotel and the indoor pool was always kept at 98.5 degrees, Which was perfect. Now that it is owned by Choice hotels they keep what they call a heated pool at 78 degrees, the pool was so cold my grandson cried and would not go in it . We asked if it could be turned up and the pool guy came in and was extremly rude and accused us of lying when we told him the Wyngate kept the pool at 98,5 , He said this pool has never been over 80 degrees. I guess he doesn't realize human body temperature is 98.6 and a 78 degree pool is not heated. Thank God that the hot tub was 102. The day manager was very nice and called the pool guy and asked him to turn the pool up but he refused. There were three other complaints about the pool temp. at around 11 am , and when we went back to the pool at 730 pm it was even colder , the manager that was on evenings did attempt to turn it up but it didn't help at this point. That was the only real complaint we had about this hotel other than the strong smell of pot in the hall , and finding pot in the pool room.

Despite being in the middle of a pandemic everything was great. Room was clean, pool area was clean and the staff was very courteous. Location was perfect and the price was right. We would definitely stay again. When we stayed it was a Wingate and we have always had good luck with Wingate Properties.

The hotel looks pretty new and the price was good. The location is very good - off the main highways (9, I-87) but easily accessible. There is no external / internal noise. The room was clean and very roomy. It's about 40 minutes to Gore, 10 minutes to Queensbury (outlet shops, mall, etc). There's nothing within walking distance (except a Walgreen's I think). There were some minor issues - I prefer that the shower be hotter, the room heater/AC is sputtery and even turns on when I turned it off (but it kept the room nice and warm). Like most hotels during Covid, there's no real breakfast but they do prepare little brown baggies for the guests. The in-room coffee is terrible. The lobby coffee is much better. The front staff was nice and helpful, but they're usually not at the desk when you go in and out. All in all, the hotel was a good value and the rooms were nice.

As part of a long weekend in Lake George we stayed at this hotel one night Valentine's Day. My wife and I went out to dinner and returned to the hotel@ 10:45 pm. The neighbors next door obviously had children who were making a bit of noise. We decided to go to the lobby and enjoy a glass of wine in front of the fireplace. As we were going to the lobby we noticed several young people smoking pot and loudly talking by the back entrance. My wife brought a Bluetooth speaker and began playing jazz at a very low level. We were immediately yelled at by the person manning the front desk saying turn that music off. The front desk is literally 10 feet from the area we were sitting in. In addition, we were the only people in the lobby. I responded by telling the employee he was extremely rude and unprofessional. My wife lowered the volume even more yet the employee came from behind the counter and approached us in a very aggressive manner. I again told him how rude he was and if he was interested in noise he could go to my room and quiet the neighbors or go right to the back entrance and deal with that group. I asked for his name and was told in a loud manner that his name was John and that was all he was going to tell me. He then informed me that this area of the lobby was closed. I replied that the area was lit, fireplace on and found it ridiculous that he was stating such non sense. At this point I was mad about his disrespect and called him and a hole who should not be in the hospitality business. I believe that once John realized I was 6'4" and in good shape he ran back behind the desk. John then said he was going to call the police. I told him go right ahead and call. Immediately another couple who were guests at the hotel started to argue with John as well. They were having pot smoke entering their room and was tired of the noise from the back entrance. They couldn't believe he was hassling us and allowing the group to continue to disrupt their evening. We stayed for approximately 45 minutes in anticipation of the police.who never showed up. About us. I am 59 years old and have managed hotels for 15 years in NYC and Miami. I am currently a director at an NYC Hospital. My wife is a Nurse. We are not the type to cause trouble. I did speak to the manager in the morning I advised her that I will notify the ownership group of the hotel as well as Choice Hotels to tell of my experience. I also advised that John does not portray the hotel in positive perspective and should not be working in hospitality.

I have stayed at this hotel roughly 10 times over the last 12 months. You can change the name on the hotel but it’s still a poor hotel. Travelers need to be aware that they have changed brands of this hotel. It is now a comfort inn. They have yet to fix the Internet and TV issues that have been ongoing for months. They give you the same story every time you ask at the front desk. I will never come back and I advise people to stay away. The hotel could also use some help in the cleanliness of the rooms. This might be one of the worst run hotels that I have come across. The front desk staff especially the front office manager needs some serious customer service training. Based off your current reviews. I see that I’m not the only one that feels this way regarding this property.
