My husband and I stayed here in September 2020. The hotel was clean and quaint with a great view of the lake. Due to Covid no employees were permitted into our room during our stay which was fine with us We loved that even though we went after Labor Day weekend that it was warm enough to sit on the hotels private beach in a lounge chair. We would definitely stay here again

Whether dealing with the front desk (Lori, or Taylor), the pool bar (Javier), or housekeeping (Iris, Danielle, or Victoria), it was a pleasure all of the time. The grounds of the resort gave a full range of activities, and my wife, and I, especially loved the private beach and the pool area. We met lots of great people, as well. Perhaps it was the fact that we arrived on Labor Day, that places were less crowded thereafter, but it was a pleasure to walk through town. The weather was perfect, and I understand that there is a car show, which was postponed this year due to the coronavirus, during that week every year. Nonetheless, many, who I suppose would be there for the show, arrived with their classic cars...fantastic! We also enjoyed the very reasonable steamboat ride on the St. Luc Complement. The food was phenomenal! For all these reasons, we will return to Lake George.

We hadn't been to Lake George in five years - after having spent the previous 5 yearly family vacations in the area. Lakefront Terrace is the most updated of all the affordable places we had been to over the years. Floors are new, luxury woodgrain vinyl, new beds, new furniture, new bathroom fixtures. Our room included a fridge & microwave (and a dehumidifier which I assume makes a difference since many lakeside places smell musty but our room was not. Not even a little.) You can tell that the new management has been working on various projects so I assume there will be more improvements every year. It looks like they've installed new railing along the beach wall, a new large paving stone patio & the outdoor furniture also looks new. The landscaping could use some work, but I expect it will be an upcoming project. We were only able to stay two nights and the weather was cool so we didn't swim in the lake or the pool but both looked good. We were here in 2020 - during covid so there was no housekeeping during our stay, but we know that's the standard at all hotels right now. Management provides a basket to use to change out dirty for clean towels. They also provide real garbage bags (not those small flimsy liners usually in hotels) - to leave outside your door. There's a snack bar and a regular bar at the pool (we didn't use but many others did). As with most lakefront accommodations, the property is long and narrow on a *steep* hill. Also with most lakefront properties the rooms are almost all lakeview but only a very, very few are lakefront. Also with most lakefront properties parking is precise. Which means when you get back late in the evening you'll have to park up the hill and walk down to your room. But the paths & steps are well lit. We liked this place and would stay again. The only negative is that there doesn't appear to be units with kitchens - but there are charcoal grills around the property.

instead of going out of state, we settled to stay in NY state due to covid and we chose Lakefront Terrace Resort because of the supposedly amazing beachfront/lakeview but our room was beachside and not front view at all but that was ok. we were given 5% discount by owner Ken but still pricey for 4 nights and we were over charged on kayak rental, no refund issued for time we did not use the kayak & already returned the paddle & vest, they could be more organized and communicated better the rental rules. refused to refund so we are disappointed. this hotel resort is not walking distance to the village, there is no sidewalk to walk to the village and we did not see the trolley come to this site. we have to drive even though 5 min to village it was hard to find a parking spot at the resort, it was always full. our bed was not comfortable. we will have second thoughts staying at this hotel again.
