Harbe Hotel is the best hotel in Lalibe with the great view of mount Asheten Mariam rock hewn church! the hotel is also very clean , attentive staff and great hospitality !! I always recommend Harbe Hotel the first choice !!
Hotel is new and well maintained for African standards. Downside is that the hotel is a bid remote and transport to city center and airport arranged by the hotel is about 3 times the price I paid in other destinations in Ethiopia.More

I don't think mosquitoes will be a problem in December. Lalibela is 2,600 m (8,500 ft) above sea level, so at night time it will be quite chilly and I think you will want to keep your windows closed. I haven't had any... More
I don't think mosquitoes will be a problem in December. Lalibela is 2,600 m (8,500 ft) above sea level, so at night time it will be quite chilly and I think you will want to keep your windows closed. I haven't had any problems with mosquitoes when I've been there, in December and January.
