Firstly you should realize that the hotel is in the lower town and the churches require a walk up a steep road or a tuktuk (cheap and easily available).this can be an advantage as it is less frenetic than the main part of town. This is a motel style hotel with all rooms looking out on a little garden. Our...

Cosy, clean rooms with their own porch overlooking the garden. Great view and friendly staff. Very nice and cheap lunch/dinner options (the rice or pasta dishes are amazing, literally better than Old Abyssinia down the road at 1/3rd the price), but don't be fooled by the breakfast menu; they won't have any fruit juice, pizza, cereal and milk, fresh bread...

I stayed at the Lalibela hotel with friends from New Zealand and we were super happy. The manager Amlarll is a really nice guy and the hotel itself feels like a home away from home. The hotel is a motel style but has everything one would need. I didn't eat here but did drink and relax in the restaurant and...

The rooms in this hotel all have a porch that looks out over the garden. Even though it is all in one building, you feel a bit like you are in a bungalow because there are no hallways. You step right out into the garden. The bed is good and has a mosquito net. The room is a bit small,...

We stayed here for three nights and found it great! The rooms a are clean and spacious and the showers were always hot (through not that powerful)! The owner Amlaku was extremely helpful and made exploring Lalibela easy with his advice. For the price, it was a great find!

Location is right in the center of town and my room at $25USD/night included a hot breakfast at their restaurant. With service fees and tax my bill was exactly $60USD for two nights. The room was spacious. I think they all have a queen bed with their own balcony. There is a great view of the St. George church with...

The hotel is situated a short drive from the Lalibela town 'centre' if you can call it that. Very affordable, the beds are comfortable and the owner is a great guy. The showers were a bit hard to master and the TV didn't work, not that we really needed it. Wifi was working no problem. Breakfast was typical Ethiopian selection...

Lalibela Hotel was the best place to stay during our tree days in town. It is located very close to the churches, in a beautiful spot with great views to the mountains. Rooms are very clean and with natural light all day long, shower is hot, and beds really comfortable. Tables under the trees are best place to have breakfeast.

Two of us stayed here for 5 nights in April, 2016. It was a return visit after our stay at the end of 2014, and just as pleasant. The hotel is a string of nicely appointed rooms along a sunny garden. Each room has a porch with chairs. The porch wall of the room is a huge window with one-way...
