I was disappointed with this hotel. I had read reviews that stated "amazing view" but from an upgraded, view room, our view was mainly of the closed outdoor pool. If you look beyond the pool and the tops of the buildings on main street, you can see the lake. I was expecting more. The room itself was small and furnishings...

For a weekend special, breakfast & room special: $575. The room was considered a mountain/ lake view..which it had, however you had a view of the whole roof as well, should have stated partial obstructed. The room was nicely decorated in Adirondack theme, the bed was AMAZING! The bathroom was nice also. The needs improvement parts: coffee makes only half...

Second time I've stayed in a waterfront room down at Mirror Lake. Have to say High Peaks has to be best value in LP. From location close to shopping, dinner/ drinks to having a kayak ready to go out my backdoor every morning this place had it covered at a very reasonable nightly rate. The check in/ check out process...

My friends had booked one room in a Sunday night in late September for $165 (with taxes) and we had booked another. They had given a complimentary upgrade to our friends and we wanted to both be together, so we both got upgrades to $325 a night rooms down on the lake. The hotel has two parts and the one...

I suspect that summer and winter are much busier times at this hotel and in the surrounding area. But we like peace and quiet, so we enjoyed our stay there and had beautiful weather for fall foliage season, which was early this year. It was a little disappointing that many restaurants and venues were closed midweek. The location of the...

We stayed here for two nights in a room that fronted out on to Lake Placid and it was beautiful. The hotel is split across three separate buildings, which meant a trio across the road for us to get to the main building for breakfast or reception, but the upside was huge - a room with the most incredible view...
