We stayed as a group for a Can/Am hockey tournament. Perfect location to the visitors center and rinks. Walked with our bags about the distance of 2 city blocks. Street side Rooms had lake views Rear lot side had small balconies. We used it to air out equiptment and keep foods cold. Very comfy QN beds flat screen tv separate... More

We had our 10 year HS reunion here and were very pleased with the service and event space at "The Cabin" room. The decor inside is perfect for a cozy, Adirondack themed event. Nicole Mizener was a pleasure to work with. She was able to correctly help us assess the resources we needed for the number of people attending. The... More

I stayed with family during the week, in the off-season so we had no problem with crowds or noise as the hotel was not busy at all. The rooms were both clean and spacious with a sitting area separate from sleeping area with cabinet containing both mini-fridge and microwave. We only stayed one night but the room is comfortable enough... More

Well didn't have a choice of where to stay with the hockey tournament. Have to say we were a bit disappointed. This is a older hotel that has been redone but it's very superficial. The room was fairly clean, service was ok. Overall, just ok

I stayed at this property for three nights while attending hockey camp. The building is old, which was OK. But, with old construction, comes a lot of noise, and there was a lot of noise. The room itself was spacious with a balcony. The bed was horrible. Some type of polyfoam mattress that was impossible to sleep on (some people... More

We are from Oregon and were visiting friends in New York for the purpose of hiking and seeing the fall foliage. We wanted to hike Mt Marcy and the Indian Head trail so needed a place to overnight. This hotel is located right in the middle of town and the upper floor rooms that face the town have a great... More

Having stayed in a Ascend Hotel Collection before, we were taken back by this one. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad place, just not what we expected, which was a very clean, new, up-dated, modern hotel. Now it didn't say anywhere that it was going to be all of this, it's just the last Ascend Hotel we... More

The hotel dates back to the late 1800s and is in the middle of Main Street. It apparently had a recent renovation and our room was fine and comfortable. The only problem was that the carpets all need a good cleaning and vacuuming. Not one carpet in the lobby, corridor, elevator or room was without an element of debris on... More

Fine place to sleep and be near downtown restaurants. We were in 502 which was nice and very clean. Recently renovated/re-decorated. You could hear muffled voices from other rooms/floor above. Amusing! But we did not lose sleep. However, you could get unlucky... Staff were friendly and location is great. Breakfeast downstairs was quite good at a reasonable price. This is... More
