We had a very memorable stay - comfortable, friendly, accomodating, excellent food and lovely rooms - all of course, in the middle of where one wants to be if you have interest in any outdoor activities

Beautiful location and excellent facility for simple, quality time in the mountains. It is centrally located for easy access to many of the High Peaks. The entire feel of the Loj was relaxed, lay-back and welcoming. Will definitely come back and bring friends!

The caretakers do a wonderful job! Their hospitality towards the guests and care for the Lodge is fantastic! They took the time to do a few extras, which included collecting and treating water for the hikers.

Dogs should be allowed as long as you are not staying in the lodge itself. Yet, as Ken T. suggests, i would confirm directly with ADK club which maintains the lodges.

I apologize for the delay in answering your question. In my opinion Lean-to #3 offers the most privacy (it is also a little bit of a walk from your car). Lean-to #13 offers good privacy and you can also park your car right... More
