We stayed at the ADK campground for proximity to the trails and were not disappointed. The campsite was clean, the staff were friendly, the bathrooms were clean and in good working order, and other guests were respectful of quiet hours which allowed us to get...More

Staying in the Loj or camping in its lean-to's or campsites is the perfect wilderness getaway, in the heart of the High Peaks region. A great place to base in July for hikes to Mt Marcy or Algonquin Peak or any of a number of...More

Grace Camp A convienient place to explore the High Peaks. Camp had everything you needed along with a Privy in the Cabin. Propane Frige, lights all utensils. Potable water nearby bunks mattresses. About as luxurious as you can get given the location

The location is great. The food was surprisingly good. The staff is very friendly. The sleeping conditions are ok, roughing it is part of the experience. My biggest suggestion is to make dinner hours more flexible to allow longer hikes.

Dogs should be allowed as long as you are not staying in the lodge itself. Yet, as Ken T. suggests, i would confirm directly with ADK club which maintains the lodges.

Dear Adirondak Loj! We're a couple looking to spend 2 days in Lake Placid (end of June) to do some hiking in the area. Your campsite looks good and we would like to get a little more information regarding the price for putting up a tent and whether it is possible to book a private room for 2 persons. Thank you in advance. Dennis
