Nonexistent concierge service. Most of the time concierge, front desk, etc doesnt answer calls. Forget about game room and bowling reservation. They tell you to book once checkin. But, everything is booked til 3 to 4 days after you checkin. For the price you pay to stay here it's not worth it. Even for breakfast you have to wait 20 min to be seated. And the resort is maybe half booked(offseason). Complained about the noise coming from upstairs room. "Nothing we could do" was their reply. Well..... you could've at least asked to move the room.... not coming back. Total RIP off.
We stayed at The Whiteface Lodge for 4 nights/5 days. Our family of 4 had a great time. Most of the local attractions were not open due to Covid, but there was plenty to do at the resort. Bowling, game room, 3 movies a day at the theater, s’mores every night, year round pool.....we were pretty busy! My kids loved being able to swim outside in the snow. The outdoor hot tubs are awesome too. The resort itself is really beautiful and decorated in the spirit of the mountains. The resort has great attention to detail and you won’t find any “skimping” in anything they do. Our suite was really clean and well appointed. I’d recommend that you get a suite - it was really comfortable and super quiet. I also cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone was quite attentive and all our needs were met - above and beyond. They are a very hard working crew and our interactions with them were all great.…
We always love our stay at The Whiteface Lodge. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are great. We love that we do not need to leave the resort if we don’t want to because you can get the full experience right there at the Lodge!
We had a wonderful stay at Whiteface Lodge. We went to celebrate my 5yr old’s birthday, and got the early check-in and birthday packages. Check-in was seamless and they decorated the room fabulously with signs, balloons and a cake. She was so surprised and thrilled. This was a really nice touch. The resort decor was great. Very rustic, woods, cabin-like. Everything you would want in a Lake Placid Resort. The only improvement I would suggest is that the whole resort is need of carpet upgrading. They’re all worn and in need of replacement, but otherwise the place looks amazing! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Everything was VERY COVID-safe, and we very much appreciate the attention to detail that was paid to this. Resort amenities are booked by reservation to limit interaction with other guests, and everything felt very clean. We had an amazing time utilizing the bowling alley, game room, movie theater and indoor/outdoor pools. There are a ton of activities both on the resort and off. I’d highly recommend staying here! We stayed in the 1br suite which was spacious, clean, and had a great balcony with beautiful views …
