Wife and I took our two teen girls to Lake Placid for some hiking and sightseeing. We spent two nights at the Town House Lodge in a family suite. The motel is easy to find, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. Very clean, great shower, a TV in both rooms, heating/AC was fine, and a kitchenette w/ sink, fridge, and microwave....

Truly a quaint little lodge, very clean and close to the Main St shopping area. Our room was a nice little kitchenette/apartment, very economical It came stocked with dishes and glassware, the sitting area was very comfortable and cozy the TV's were modern the decor was retro but fit the style and architecture of the lodge again very clean and...

What are you looking for? Are you looking for romantic, beautiful views of the lake, several amenities? Than this place is not for you. If you are looking for a well kept spot, with big rooms, close enough to town to walk (emphasis on close enough, its not right in the middle of town) and a reasonable price? Than this...

Lovely place which we were able to book on shirt notice after one of our tents got broken and needed a repair and heavy rain got in as well. We staid for two nights in the very clean lodge, walking distance from Main Street and with a double bed room that easily fit our family of four. The owner is...

Would consider giving it a 4.5. Remember that this is a Lodge/motel and you will appreciate it more. Clean and hospitable hosts. Coffee in the AM. No breakfast. Has a pool which looked clean, but we did not use. Only 2-3 blocks to Main Street so we never had to drive there and park. Walked to the movies, dinner, Mirror...

I loved this place. We travelled with my daughter and her family, which included my 3 yr old grandson. We had adjacent rooms ours was a king room, hers the 2 room family suite with kitchenette. Well stocked, clean beyond words. The grounds were ample and well groomed. The location, with beautiful views, so much better than a chain hotel....

What a wonderful little motel. Owners super freindly, rooms modern with new a/c, heating, bathroom nicely tiled. Flat screen TV, wide parking spots. We came in on motorcycles, in the morning, on each bike was a clean towel to wipe off the dew, never had this before, what an awesome touch!! I would give this 5 star, for a motel....

Just spent two nights in room 37 at the town house lodge. Room was large and immaculate. Loads of pillows on our very comfy king bed. Our own private balcony with south and west facing windows looking toward Whiteface mountain. Iris and Wolfgang run an awesome place walking distance to main street. Little extras like leaving towels to wipe the...

I loved this place. The family room--a king bed on one room with a separate bedroom with two twin beds--totally fit our family. And the price was excellent value. We didn't use the little kitchenette at all, but I'm sure some people would find it useful. I found the floorplan to be generous. And so, so clean. I'm used to...
