I am an avid traveler and can stay anywhere pretty easily. The room served its purpose but ended up being more money than worth with all the various taxes. A hotel that was originally crappy but had a face lift that made it appear better...though the tube tv was from the past, no fridge in our room but offered in...

Came to Lake Placid to ski Whiteface. Never in my life have I ever dipped below the quality level of a Hampton Suites (I usually don't even stay at Hampton Inn's) but this was the only place in town where I didn't have to pay over $200. The hotel was packed and the room rate was $160. This hotel was...

Room was clean and marginally comfortable. Staff was a bit unprofessional but fairly helpful. Breakfast was unremarkable. Not too far from downtown but must drive. No restaurants close. Pool and hot tub abig plus. Overall OK

Stayed here for a hockey tournament and if you have a rowdy group of kids who want to play knee hockey all day, then this place is great. Rooms are average, nothing special. Location is good as it isn't too far from the rink.

Definitely better than most econo lodges. Beds are super comfy and generally quiet. Shower good and hot and hot tub and pool clean with towels. Great stay and affordable. Didn't stay for breakfast as coffee not ready at 635 am. No worries will come back. Good staff excellent experience at check in.

I stayed here in Sept 2016 for a conference. Due to the size of the conference and my late booking, this was about the only hotel in town that cost less that $500 / night. It is quite a distance from "downtown" Lake Placid, so get a rental car. The room itself wasn't dirty, but required numerous maintenance issues. The...

If you are looking for a budget hotel this one is ok. Probably the cheapest price closest to Lake Placid. All of the basics are fine but nothing special. The TV's are outdated but work fine. The breakfast was fine but nothing special. The rooms were fine. Largest problem is internet is extremely slow as the motel fills at night....

I'll cut right to the chase. If you're thinking about staying at the Lake Placid Econo-Lodge, do yourself a favor: Shell $150 out straight into the toilet and flush. I'll give the front desk receptionist credit: she was very friendly and helpful. The room itself featured vintage everything. Can't remember the last time I've seen a CRT type Television as...

We booked this hotel as part of a budget trip to Lake Placid for Columbus day weekend. There were mixed reviews so we figured we would take a chance. We won't be returning. Rooms were reasonably clean but SO outdated. TV was a tube television that looked over 20 years old. The carpet in the room was crunchy and looked...
