I am puzzled by the reviews of this property. We stayed recently with another couple and had a really decent stay. Despite having shared bathrooms, of which I am not a fan, we enjoyed a relaxing evening and morning at the inn. Chris was our personal chef for the evening, serving a multi-course meal that we slowly progressed through with...

Writing negative reviews makes me feel bad, and I write many, many GOOD reviews, but this experience demanded a bad one. I can appreciate a certain level of earthy charm, but this place was a BIG miss. The over-all feel of the place was icky. THE ROOM- Our room was IN THE BASEMENT...tile floor...no heat (it was 62 degrees outside)...smelled...

I,like many other reviewers, have written many positive reviews on this site and truly hate writing a negative one. But I count on these reviews to help make choices so feel an obligation to be truthful. Along with the other negative comments, I would add that all the beds we saw where actually day beds converted to king size beds....

Hello this is Polarisdan's wife writing this reivew. Now we stayed in Lake Front Inn 2. I've noticed that there seems to be a different experience in the reviews from the people that stay in the Lake Front Inn compared to those who stay in Lake Front Inn 2. Our experience was not worth the money we paid for the...

The rooms are all spectacular and the decor is lovely. Breakfasts are amazing, with locally grown organic veg, fruit, and even locally milled flour!! If you can't live without AC, sorry! But then you'll miss out on the beauty and the joy of waking up to birds singing. There are lots of fans so just suck it up and enjoy...

The view from deck is impressive. The house sits high on a hill with an unobstructed view of the lake looking towards Ithaca. A slopping meadow in front provides great bird watching. The room was clean but had no air conditioning and it had been 102• during our visit. Breakfast was poorly prepared and inadequate. The room and food was...

If you love great views from your room's balcony, and a deck to sit out on late into the evening (especially great if you had the good fortune to enjoy a private Tuscan dinner there), and have a feel for European travel, then you may enjoy your stay here as much as we did. For my son's graduation from Ithaca,...

We should have known, when we asked if there was a hair drier and the response was "there might be one around somewhere, so bring your own"! We arrived after traveling all day to get there by six, and as asked, we called one hour ahead to let them know we would be there. Of course, no one there to...

I don't even know where to begin with the long list of disappointments and moments of "Huh????" There are several glowing recommendations here, so perhaps there is an inconsistency with service and cleanliness, but my Sister-in-law and I had similar experiences to those reviews in the terrible category. We, like another reviewer, don't believe that this is a legal operation....

“The room with a balcony is really the best”

“We chose the courtyard room, partly in the interest of economy and partly because we booked late and there was little else left, but we LOVED it. it's amply spacious, but still has a very cozy feel. However, in the season in which we traveled (early summer), it did have a slightly damp feel, which didn't surprise us because (a) the room had almost a cellar feel to it (though with beautiful French doors opening onto a patio), and (b) we did not choose to run the dehumidifier. NB, We saw two of the three other rooms in the house, including the most amazing top-floor room (incredible views, beautiful bathroom with skylights), and noticed that those were hotter than our very naturally cool room. (Hot air does rise, after all.) Speak with owner Diane to discuss your preferences; she'll help you find a room that suits you.”
