This is a gem of a restaurant with fabulous food and excellent service. The gumbo is remarkable, the salads and entrees were terrific, and the deserts very tasty. It is a relaxed atmosphere and not crowded. Highly recommend!

Thank you. I am very happy you enjoyed everything.
From beginning to end, it was delicious. An unexpected stop for dinner. Many good flavors. Very satisfying. Will come again! We had the chicken, lamb, rabbit, seafood apps. Big variety. Nice French restaurant.
We were driving through this area after enjoying the Eric Canal boat tour in Herkimer. Using Trip Advisor as our guide we stopped to inquire about a room at the Canal Side Inn. Fortunately for us the owner/chef was there and we caught him just...More

Hi, I just read your review of the Canal Side Inn in Utica, NY. My husband and I are traveling with our two teenage kids. Can you tell me in the suite you stayed in, would my kids be able to sleep separately? I have a son and a daughter, so sleeping separate is a must. I read the room contains a sleeper sofa but is there anywhere else to sleep, i.e. perhaps another couch? I would greatly appreciate any input you can give me. Thank you!
