We have three private cabins on 40 secluded acres adjacent to the Finger Lakes National Forest. All cabins have a full kitchen and bath. Aspen and Basswood cabins are 2BR with a queen bed, bunk beds, and full-sized futon. Cedar is 1BR with a queen bed, and pull out couch. Outside each cabin, there is a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, a rocking chair, a fire ring and standing park-style grill. We provide a bag of charcoal and firewood for your stay. Breakfast is delivered to the cabin porch in a picnic basket each morning. There are walking trails on the property, and guests can hike/bike from the cabins to the national forest. We are five minutes off the Seneca Wine Trail and ten minutes off the Cayuga Wine Trail. There are four chef-owned restaurants within a fifteen minute drive from the cabins as well. We are thirty minutes from Ithaca, Seneca Falls, Geneva and Watkins Glen.

We stayed in the Cedar cabin. You never know what you are going to get when you rent a cabin. This time we were very pleased. The cabin is very clean and well equipped. No need to bring pans/dishes/cutlery/towels. They even provide robes and shower shoes. The bed is comfortable. The people who run the place allow you complete privacy. You let yourself into the cabin and they deliver breakfast daily by leaving it on the porch and knocking. They are there if you need them but otherwise they don’t interfere with your stay. It was very quiet at all hours and several state parks are only a short drive away. A perfect getaway!

TIP: Bring extra drinking water and gallons of water. The well water in the area has a strong sulfur smell and we used bottled water for drinking, brushing our teeth, etc.

A much needed getaway for 6 friends. Mill Creek Cabins suited us perfectly. We were able to fit all 6 of us in the cabin by putting 2 air mattresses in the main living area. It was a squeeze but for 2 nights it was ok.

Aspen Cabin is Very cute and cozy cabin with all you could need on your stay. Real dishes, utensils, dish soap, etc. you don’t really need to bring much extra except your food. We even had a pizza delivered right to us (shout out to Pats Pizza in Ovid, NY).

The hot tub made it even better and sealed the deal.

We could be silly & a little loud and let off some steam. We hired a car service to pick us up and tour wineries.

The only things to be aware of is the shower takes about 5 minutes to get hot water then it is fine. Even with 6 women getting ready in the morning it wasn’t bad.

I would definitely rent again. If you like getting away from it all for a weekend, this is the place for you.

Very overpriced for what you get. Website description very misleading.I was very disappointed in the sleeping arrangements, if I had known the bed was against a wall I would not have gone. We are in our 70’s and cannot crawl over each other to get out of bed to use the bathroom.I got the bed and my husband tried to sleep in a bunk but it was impossible to get in and out of then the next night used the futon which was lumpy and uncomfortable. Cabin was way too small for dog crates and we were unable to move around period. There was no place for our stuff, no closets or empty shelves. We couldn’t even get out of the futon when we sat in it so used the kitchen chairs. We both left with back backaches.

breakfast was late and only enough food for one person. One tiny bar of bath soap was provided. You get wet turning on the shower because of how it’s installed. And it takes 5 minutes for it to get hot. Nice property to walk dogs but my dogs were full of ticks afterwards so bring tick stuff.

They charged for firewood, which I have never had to pay for but the fire pit was so nice our first night with a glass of wine. I peeked at the hot tub and it was cloudy so no thanks there. Others complained about the sulfur water but I knew about that so,I,brought my own water. There was a good supply of bath towels and they were soft as were the bed sheets.

The pans were those non stick coated type that have seen better days. For $500 for two nights in Basswood Cabin, I think the owners could invest in decent cookware.

Next time, We will be going back to our usual cabin a few miles away where there are three bedrooms, hot water, full size kitchen two bathrooms and lots of space for less money with town water and real heat and air conditioning.

We stayed 3 nights here. Located off the beaten path so it’s quiet and in a rural location. We stayed in the Cedar Cabin and had lots of space. They do have sulphur water and the smell can be a bit much. A water filtration unit is in the fridge for drinking. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and could use an update. The place needed a good cleaning from top to bottom as there are many webs in the corners of the rooms. We enjoyed the deck outback and the fenced yard but a few items were overlooked like the grass was longer and the dog poo bucket was not emptied before we got there. Our contact was quick to respond with our concerns and have them fixed quickly as the TV was not working and there was no kettle to boil water. Loved the delivered breakfast each morning and it was different each day. Loved that it was pet friendly and had bowls and treats for our fur baby.

My hubby and I and our two dogs stayed for a 4 day weekend Nov 3-7 2021. Brookside cottage was very welcoming, cozy and beautifully appointed. Great big beautiful kitchen, (well stocked and supplied). Full size fridge, stove oven microwave coffee pot! Bathroom was great. Shower awesome. Step leading to upstairs are steep, so it was tough on my arthritic knees but after some stretching it was a ok! Beds and linens were great. I loved that they provided old sheets to cover furniture to protect from dogs and their fur! I really loved sleeping with the bedroom window open enough to hear to babbling brook lull me to sleep. Perfect location, very quiet, close to everything! Highly recommend!!!!

Great spot! Such a relaxing place to recharge. We brought our “fur kids” who also enjoyed the cabin and fenced yard at cedar cabin. Delicious breakfast. Peaceful and private. Honestly enjoyed the comfort of the cabin and quiet setting to reboot.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We have stayed in several places in the area but this was definitely a favorite. The grounds are beautiful and it was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was nice and clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. We both really like the contactless checkin and check out for COVID reasons. I really liked how they placed each cabin so that you all have privacy. The breakfasts were all delicious. The hot tub was a great bonus and we liked we still had our privacy. It was a short distance to Ithaca and Watkins glen which was great and there were wineries nearby. We definitely will be back our stay was amazing!

My 2nd time visiting! If you want a quiet, peaceful retreat, this is a great place for it! They have paid attention to details-signage, games, nice linens, and even robes and sandals to get outside to the hot tub!
It is a cute place to unwind and rest by the fireplace.

This is a lovely, well appointed, very clean cottage. The neighborhood is well maintained and quiet. It is a short distance to both Lake Seneca, Lake Cayuga, and the wine trails. We enjoyed our stay, and will return!

Answer from Beth M

There is really no difference between those 2 cabins. Especially now since Aspen cabin got a new hot tub.

We often host bachelorette weekends where girls rent both cabins. The property is pretty much perfect for such gatherings. The Jacuzzi can accommodate up to six girls at a time and it's available 24/7.
